Just had the phone call that I have been waiting for: The manager from work said: "What are you doing today?" That's a polite euphemism for, "Help, can you get your ass in here, chop, chop!"
Thank goodness for that, see you all later.
does that mean your retirement is over ?

Well, I'm just relaxing with my morning coffee. No plans for today, but I'm sure to find some kind of trouble to get into.......

Tomorrow will be a super busy day, so I think I'll do

Ohhhh, ohhhhhh, I'm wiped out. Louie 🐈 got himself stuck behind the stove. He was jammed against the wall & sink. Somehow, I found the strength and wherewithall to rescue him. It was frantic, took me three tries but I managed to stand on a chair, lean fully over the stove and grab his neck. On the third try he got over his fear enough to help me by letting me pull him. Hope he didn't dislodge a gas pipe or something.

You hear stories of people lifting cars to save their child or someone. That's how it felt. A major achievement for me.

I had seen Gidget 🐈‍⬛ looking over the stove and wondered why. I had a feeling. I called "Louie, Louie" and heard him crying from behind.

I don't have a lot of energy. Hope I'm not wiped out for the day. I saved my Louie all by myself.

It is almost 50 here and just Gorgeous out.
I did some paperwork this AM and have sorted some clothes for the clothing drive. They will get their buttons checked to see if any need tightening, then washed and dried.

Other then that, it is a day I can do whatever I want to do on my "list", because everything there is so important to me, but actually sure not really important at all.

I have some of those Tap lights they used to sell, and one has corroded batteries in it- and if I take the batts out and clean it with rubbing alcohol and a Q tip- that usually will get it working again, with new batteries.

Thy are great for my lowest kitchen cabinets and for any closet that has no lights in it.

I have been raking off some flower beds. The birds start squawking because I'm exposing good stuff to eat. Pretty spring green under there! It's still too early for some beds.
I also cleaned around our old shed to ready for a new paint job. Years of dirt and leaves built up around the sides and piles of brick and boards and cinder blocks. It will take two people to move all the wood and things piled up in the back.
These kings of things need to happen before the snakes wake up. 😯

Baking soda is good for cleaning battery corrosion too.

Not near the great day I had yesterday. Neck and head pain returned. Just had dinner so I could take my muscle relaxer and melocicam.

Nothing done at the house today but I did manage to get to get out for a bit.
Both pair of my glasses were messed up so I dropped those at the vision place to be fixed. I asked the girl if it was okay to leave them and go next do to the so called Dollar store, yes I could. Got what I needed, went back, the clerk sees me. She goes to get the glasses laughing all the way.

She ask if I per chance had a dog. Yes, I have three. Someones been nibbling, sure enough they were teeth marks on the ear pieces. She says they see that quite a bit. I told her my dogs are just trying to increase their sales!!

Walmart run for dog food, popcorn, bagels, english muffins, cream cheese. Some way a pretty little steak jumped into the cart. They were out of fresh green beans as usual and the asparagus was $4LB so I left it behind. The only thing good about hot weather to me is the fruit and veg will (should) come down in price.

It was 80 degrees today, oh joy, the start of sweat season. I will probably use grocery delivery more often in the summer than I have the fall winter season. I am grateful that I have that option.
