Massive Fire Burning Out Of Control In Texas

Typical Texas you got to listen to a 30 second commercial to see the news.
Texas can take care of itself. Don't get your tits in a ringer! ..... :ROFLMAO: ..I got about
3 cents for that Toll road state. The governor will expect $100,000,000,000 in disaster ins.
Texas get your equipment moving! POC !

This fire in the Panhandle is the worst in Texas History, so I hear. Over 800,000 acres burned and the fires are only 3% contained....as they said in the 5:30 news tonight.
I hope you'll remain safe as well. I don't know who else here is from Texas except Ken, Doug and now you. I certainly hope all of our members and their families who live in Texas will be safe. As of when I saw the news last night, the fires were 0% contained. So at least they are starting to make progress. So far no deaths reported...I hope it stays that way.

Thank you, but we are fine and away from there. I'm very happy that there are no fatalities. But I did have a friend from Canadian, Texas in college. Hopefully him and his family are safe from the fires. I hope they get this fire contained as soon as possible. (Yes, and the funny thing is that both Doug and myself are in the same North Texas area). I'm glad Doug is nowhere near there either.

Yesterday, Texas was on fire- worst fire ever. Pics people standing over the ashes of their homes, etc. Today, when I checked, CNN,, Fox didn't have anything about the fire. No big "BREAKING NEWS!!!! about the fire. I guess the "breaking news" of the "Vanderpump Suit" is more important.

Overnight, that part of Texas got several inches of snowfall, which probably did better than anything to put out the fire. I have been following it on Twitter, and people were praying for rain, and God sent them snow. the first pictures were of vehicles driving through smoke and fine, and now they are showing people out driving in the snow…… what a needed blessing !

I pray that all of y’all will be safe and in good health through this fire season. I worked through many Texas fires during my career and spent a lot of time with the Texas A&M folks, and the volunteer fire departments in West Texas (yes, volunteer), particularly in the Abilene and Stephenville areas. Stay aware and follow the instructions of your local fire departments.
