~I did some accounting and sorted more laundry this morning. I'm backed up again. :cautious:
I exercised using my mini peddler for 40 minutes while talking on the phone with my BFF.

~I emptied and washed out Deja's litter box, then got the garbage ready for my son to take out as soon as he got home.

~Worked on my federal taxes a little more. I won't finish my taxes tonight but maybe by Sunday.

~Now I'm going to eat some Cheerios with strawberries for dinner. Even though I have baked chicken in fridge and thought about having broccoli with it, my taste buds want Cheerios.

~I'll clean up the kitchen then relax play games on my phone and watch TV, although TV may wind up watching me. :):sleep:

You were very lucky. He could have been the neighbor who gave you sweets and treats, invited you to his house, then sexually assaulted you or emotionally abused you. In those days, no one believed children about those things. There was nothing done about it.

These days are very different. If children claim you touched them in any way, after giving them sweets and treats in your house, they could ruin your reputation and your life.

If that seems really far-fetched, you haven't met my neighbors.
 
The weather hasn't let up yet. Part of me is happy that the weather keeps my neighbors indoors. Another part of me is getting worn out from it.

Day 5 of my online seminar was great. One part was about inner child work. Another part was about aging. Haven't finished that part yet.
 
Cold... and at 12.30 now.. the rain has just stopped, but the roads are flooded. The sun however is out...temps 43 f... so I've opened up the windows

My estranged husband hated me opening the windows all the time whatever the weather . I don't suffer more than the average person with Claustrophobia.. but I do like to have fresh air into the house all the time.... conversely he would lock every door in the house even when we were at home. It used to drive me nuts. I'd go to go out the back door into the garden, and the door was locked..

Morning all folks.....it is 37F here, clear and sunny for now..up
to 70 or so later today....took a pain pill yest eve and it helped
settle the old bod down, slept a bit better, so not feeling too
terrible this a.m., breathin of course always an issue.....no big
plans for today, some paperwork to print out....may order a
bit of groceries..supposed to be in 70's today and sunday
then a bit colder again...catch up with u later on ....make it a
great day !!!! :cool::coffee::LOL:😘
 
Looks gloomy so far this morning. I just put a whole chicken in the Instant Pot to cook. I don't usually cook chicken this way but am going to try it so I can use all the bones in bone broth. I will put the chicken in the refrigerator for quick meals for a few days.

My plan for today is to get some bills paid and finish my latest blog post. If it clears up any I will try to take a walk. If the sun is out I will walk to the bank to take some pictures. It is landscaped around the bank and has a nice sidewalk with a canopy over it.
 
Roofers are here today after some disagreements were settled...:rolleyes:......Arthritis in right hand giving me fits, I've had ice packs on it since earlier so its getting better...I just have to whine to somebody....lucky you.
@katlupe I cook a whole chicken sometimes at Christmas, makes wonderful broth for the cornbread stuffing.
 
Light snow on the ground the last couple days, but daytime temps have been above freezing (barely).

Yesterday I replaced a malfunctioning simple ceiling light fixture; very awkward to work on the unwiring & re-wiring. When I went to the hardware store to buy the new fixture, I also bought a box of 10 suet blocks to feed the big jays & flickers that come to the stand outside our north window.

Today the plan is to head over to my friend's house, because he phoned yesterday afternoon with an invitation. Over a period of days, we've wired his new workshop, and today we'll make the cable connection between circuit-breaker panels (house & shop) to actually throw the switch for 'power & light'! (He said he'd have fire extinguishers handy for each of us to grab... but that was just a joke.)
 
Okay then! I'm home. As much as I whined about going to work in the middle of the night, it was wonderful being there for two whole hours before the store was even open. Just me and the overnight crew so I wasn't in anybody's way and got lots done. There was even time to bake cookies and a couple of extra 🥐 for @Blessed:).

When I worked at the biscuit place I worked from 4-10 🐓 so why not now? DD said she doesn't care if I work 4-10🐓. If Sir says I can, I'm gonna do it. I think he'll say okay because except for Mondays and Thursdays when I'm off, it would mean no more 4am shifts for him. We'll just have to outsource waking up the 🐓.

It's still raining but at least not too cold today. We've been promised sun later this afternoon.
 
Today is starting the day with a much better cup of coffee than it has been. Cleaned the coffee pot yesterday. The amount of scale and build up was the worst it’s ever been. We have really hard water. I‘m going to make note of the date; it doesn’t seem like that long ago that I last did it.

Nothing special is planned for today so I guess I’ll have to do some of those household chores that have no appeal. I’d rather do something that gets me outside, even if it’s just walking to the store for a loaf of bread.
 
I'm doing DJ music tonight for the Lions crab feed. Should be about 100 people there. They raise money for local causes, so I volunteer my services. They get free music, I get a nice crab dinner, and the community gets the benefits, so everybody wins.
