What have you bought recently?

That is why you can’t see. Getting new glasses right now won’t help. Once you have the surgery, you’ll need new glasses, likely just for reading.
I don't think so. Doc asked if I had the cataract surgery for the right eye. The trouble I have seeing is with my left eye, and there's no cloudiness, nothing is dim. Eye screen when I had my physical indicated 20/50 for left eye and 20/40 for right. My prescription is for 20/30 and 20/40.

I know I'll need new glasses after surgery, but Kaiser pays for those.

In any case, the soonest appointment I could get to even discuss it isn't for three more months, then wait for however much longer after that for the surgery, probably another three months. No. I can't live like this for four to six months.

so what are you going to do Gigi ?... whatever you do, you have to get a wriggle on and get it done fast....once you get your eyes done, everything else will feel so much easier...

Can you buy an inexpensive pair online? It would tide you over until you see the specialists and have the procedures.

Bought an area rug via Overstock.com and we just opened it today... it's now rolled up, awaiting a thoroughly vacuumed living room rug (wall-to-wall; fitted I believe is the UK term) This is the second area rug I've bought from them and I'm very pleased... good price, good quality, colors are true to what was described =D

When I get everything re-situated, I'll post a pic.

You're absolutely correct CS... a carpet with no floor surrounds showing .. is called wall-to wall carpeting...or Fitted carpets..

ie...

We were out collecting my wife's new spectacles this morning, after which she suggested coffee. The walk to the cafe took us past the fabric shop, the lady just cannot walk past that shop. But today I am delighted that we called in, amongst their paper patterns is a vintage section, your's truly is going to have a 1940's style dressing gown, they were called house coats, back in the days before central heating.

Watch this space.

Didn't spend a lot but got some cayenne pepper to spread around the shepherd's hook that the bird feeder hangs from because squirrels (supposedly) don't like cayenne and will stay away. Also spread some around where I planted tulip bulbs from a pot of tulips that I got for Valentine's Day. We'll see if it works.

And some cranberry juice and, most importantly, ice cream. Imagine being out of ice cream. It was like the end of the world had arrived.

Y'all will be happy to know that my paycheck has been safely stashed in the EF, and I have nowhere to go today so no $$ will be spent. Hear that? I'm not gonna spend any money. Maybe tomorrow.

That cayenne pepper that was supposed to foil squirrels? Pfffft. It was the store brand but still cost $5.40 with my store discount

As promised, a pic of my new area rug… it’s bigger than the old one and so we will hopefully avoid the whole ‘scootching’ across the floor thing

PS— now that I don’t have ridges to trip over, maybe I can get back to line dancing 💃

I love your room as you know CS.. now the carpet looks fabulous in there ..just brings everything together nicely..

I had a very similar one for many years in burgundy... I'm loving the green tho'...:D

Today I bought some fence panel wedges. I have trellis on top of my fences, and they're coming loose, so the wind rattles them around. The wedges are brilliant at stopping that.

Also, I rarely ever buy groceries online.. but today it's heavy rain and the same forecast for tomorrow.. so I've just ordered the heavy stuff, and basics .. Milk , water, bread, eggs etc to be delivered this afternoon...

A new Singer mechanical sewing machine!
I didn't want computerized, just basic, to do crafts, mend, and tailor things.
I had a Singer many years that finally died. Then I used a Necchi given to me by my MIL. Necchi are good but not the eighties models which this was. I got use out of it but I'm done dealing with it. It is not "forgiving" at all.
I researched Brother, Janome, and Singer and settled on one of the Heavy Duty series of Singers.
I'll be off playing with my new toy!

Since 'smartphones' are much smarter than I, & I self-destruct when they act up or catch fire. I decided to go back to a simple flip phone. Text (seldom do) & talk is all I need or want. Like everything, they're getting a little more costly. It was February, I tend to do crazy during Feb. K.I.S.S.!

Didn't spend any $$ today and won't tomorrow, but Wednesday after work DD and I are going to the garden centers to scope out what's available that doesn't mind cooler temps and/or light frost. Woohoo. I won't spend any "real" money, though, because I have gift cards that I've been saving since last fall.
