the documentary around this is called abandoned generally. I have watched this show 2/3 times now and have relatives who once lived there now in Vancouver. It always grips me with sadness and hopelessness that we humans are basically stupid and selfish and greedy and unkind need I go on?? but if you have never seen it ; it is worth one viewing to bring your perspective on human progress into focus?

Do you have a link or any information about it? The fisherman are trying to go on strike but they can’t so they are protesting free enterprise. The crab fisherman were making $2.20 a pound last year. The year before they were making $7 plus per pound.

Newfoundland won’t allow its fisherman to sell their product to other buyers outside of Newfoundland. They’ve also been capped on how much they can fish.

Farmers aren’t told how much product they can sell.
