Does Anyone Remember This Man From the Early Days of American Television?

Still love 50's & 60's music!
Bishop Fulton J. Sheen had his own primetime television series Life Is Worth Living. He had a religious show that went up against regular shows on other networks, and got high ratings. You couldn't do that now days on the 3 major networks. One season his show went up against shows that starred Bob Cummings and Groucho Marx. The religious network EWTN has reruns of his old show on several times a week. Although I have never been too religious, and didn't always agree with his opinion, he nevertheless was very entertaining.

I do remember his show. He'd come out and swing his cape and I thought he was supposed to be the devil. What did I know.....I wasn't Catholic. He had that intense face. I was maybe 5 or 6 when the show came on.

On the other hand, my late husband, who WAS Catholic, attended a seminary high school. Their Senior Trip was a visit to Bishop Sheen where they were privileged to make confession to him. So, he actually met him.
