My Orthodox religion does not celebrate Easter today. Our Easter this year falls on May 5, so it was a quiet day for me.

The sun has been shining all day and I love it! I was able to catch up on my painting. I also placed a fundraiser on FB and hope to get some funds for a charitable organization that I care deeply about. It is for the blind people. As my own eyesight is beginning to diminish, I feel strongly about helping those who do not have sight.

For those of you celebrating Easter, Have a Blessed Easter!

Happy Easter from all of us to all of you. Only my older daughter was missing.

Tongue-in-cheek question:
why do have women the tendency to prepare twice as much food on special occasions as the family can possible eat?

Since he could walk, my grandson has been fascinated with my mini gym. Because it was raining today, I also used it instead of
going on my usual walk with the pups. Since I can watch TV at the same time, I am able to endure the boring treadmill for a while.

Since my grandson was a baby, my 95 pound Boxer was in love with him. My grandson can pull his ears and feed him dirt,
and my big guy will gladly oblige. It's an incredible relationship. My grandson also brought his Beagle pup with him. What
a commotion, LOL. But after half an hour, after the curiosity had worn off, things calmed down a little bit.

It was a lovely day...

Went to church last night, so slept in this AM; visited Ed and one of my sons came along to trim up some of his flowering bushes that were getting kind of 'leggy.'

We had a friend over for a leisurely Easter dinner of ham steak, new potatoes, roasted asparagus and lemon bars for dessert. Light and delicious

Now the cat is making a nuisance of himself, trying to find a comfortable position on my lap while I type.... yeah, what could go wrong?? lol

So far, it's been a better day than I anticipated. I'm thrilled about that. It's been relatively quiet for a holiday. Quite unusual for my neighbors. The peace was glorious.

The weather helped a lot. Just enough overcast to threaten rain but with nice patches of sun, warming everything up.

I was able to get in a bit of dusting, a bit of coloring, borrowing stuff on my online libraries and sampling a bunch of movies and shows on my online libraries. I also opened a new pack of dry erase markers in lots of colors. Although the tip size wasn't ideal, it was still fun to play with and erased well.

I found a couple new things at Walmart that I can eat. As a vegan, that can sometimes be a challenge.

In a couple hours, I'll open some potato chips or pea crisps in celebration.

I was wide awake at 4am. It's a day off, and I could have slept as long as I wanted to. Maybe 4am is as long as I wanted to? Maggiecat thought so ;)

Today is Walmarting and weeding. Gotta get some weeding done because my next day off is Thursday, and it's supposed to be cold. I won't want to be outside.

@katlupe My laundry has already been started.

Be careful. Today is April Fool's day.

After a big family gathering in Manchester yesterday for Likkle Grandon's 3rd birthday - which was on Wednesday - we're assembling again today for our son's 30th. A nice meal out for most of us - then a trip North to Hawkshead Brewery in Stavely for some of us. Steak followed by beer. What's not to like? :)

I had a Wonderful Easter, and the weather was good but they expect rain this week and Snow again this Wednesday, in the Southern Tier of NY.

I have quite a list for April, and even a long list to accomplish today and I don't feel like doing ANY of it! It is 30 degrees here and maybe some rain will lower the Pollen count. It has been very high lately in my zip code.

Allergies bring a lot of fatigue, and the first thing I need to do today is to put a new allergy filter on my heater. I always replace the filter on the heater on the first day of the month.

Wow. I slept nine hours last night. I don't remember doing that since a teen! We did a lot of prep for Easter but I'm used to that. Maybe my age is catching up or maybe it was the right conditions for a good night's sleep.
Anyway, I'll take it!
We had a great day with 2 daughters, SIL, and the three grands. The food turned out very good and all ate well and the weather was perfect for being outside. Maybe everyone slept well.
So, now this is the time when all chores are done so DH and I can enjoy the fruits of our labor and eat yummy leftovers.

Yesterday was such a busy day with my DD’s family. They always have lots on the go. Went to a lovely restaurant for an Easter lunch, an afternoon drive in the countryside, wandered around their friends stables and yards, and then to an impromptu dinner at another neighbours.

Everyone!!!

Yesterday evening I cut some more forsythia bushes. Now it looks like I only need to cut another.....ONE!!! And it's a small one, that had gotten missed. Actually, there may be others that were missed, looking for them and clearing around their trunks will be today's evening activity. I never would have been able to get so far if Dio had not come over with his chain saw!!! He cut the last two huge bushes for me!
