Babyliss is the brand of hairdryer I use. I like mine. They are heavy though.

I have a dinner tonight that I forgot about, so I'm going to try not to stress about getting there. I made plans this afternoon with a friend and will be a little rushed to get to dinner, but I'll manage. And I don't have to cook dinner, so there's that. Now I need to find something to wear.
Yes I've had several Babyliss items over the years, but this is the first time I've seen a self revolving heated brush...

I've got a heated brush already but it's not self revolving, and the Barrel is HUGE...
I'm afraid I would catch my hair in the revolving barrel. I have already managed to do that with a round hairbrush.

yes I've done that in the past, flippin' painful...

My washing machine started making a high pitch squeal and burnt rubber smell. So I have spent all evening manually rinsing the detergent out of the clothes and wringing then, then putting smallish loads of the soggy clothes in the dryer. I think when I wake up in the morning I'm going to feel awfully achy in my back and hands.

I thought it was my idea to sew polar fleece to the back but apparently it's a thing.
That's a great idea! I didn't know it was a thing. I've made a couple quilt tops in the past. Backing them with fleece would make them so much more useful.

BTW my new sewing machine is fab!
If you don't mind my asking, what kind did you get? When I was in the 6th grade, my mom bought me a Bernina. I loved that machine. Many years later as an adult, I bought a New Home/Janome that has an automatic embroidery feature on it. I've done a lot of sewing on both of those machines, but none in quite a while.

Son down for his obligatory long w/end before his teaching starts again- upside down in aussie remember? - then enjoyed one of my favourite fillums "The Natural" so much and still found it a windy complex theme that I went back on pc looked up a world movies channel and watched it all again - wot a classic - tennessee whiskey nearely finished and me bog eyed!! - and just realized who wrote the music for the film - someone oft malined but good musician RN?? any guesses any fans??

Very warm here this morning (64) with a high-wind warning and off and on rain all day. Wouldn't you know? On my day off...

Road trip! @CallMeKate are you driving the bus? Stop and pick me up on the way, please. I have it on good authority that @hawkdon is making scrambled eggs with cheese and green chilies, hash browns, biscuits with sausage gravy, orange juice (or Mimosas if you prefer) and coffee, and we're all invited.

I dunno if @Matrix will part with it. Maybe if we invite him, too?

I had this thought: Sometimes DD and I will mention a particular product or a place to visit in conversation while in the car, or sometimes someone on a forum that I frequent (like this one) will bring up a random subject, product, place.

Then, whaddaya know? I'll open up my home page and there will be ads for those products, places, articles about the random subject. I can understand that the interwebz can (and will) latch onto whatever it sees as interest and bombard us with info. What I don't get is how it knows just from spoken conversation. Reckon it's because we have our phones with us in the car and the phone listens to us? LOL
