Do men moisturise their faces?

My husband doesn't. He is the quick shower, shave and get out of there man. Minutes to get clean and dressed, no fuss. He does wet shave using a good gel. Yet his skin looks good for his age. He's never even considered a moisturizer.

As a woman, moisturiser is essential for me, for face, hands and feet daily. I don't overdo it or spend a lot at all, but without it my skin on those key places would feel tight and uncomfortable.

So are men, especially older men, generally still unwilling to moisturise? I get the impression younger men take more care of themselves.

My man doesn’t use moisturizer but a couple of years ago he complained of itchy dry irritated skin after shaving so I got him some of this.

It’s sandalwood shaving cream. It’s a dense shaving cream that helps shave and leaves his face nice and soft PLUS it smells very manly but not in an over powering way.

I don't. I shave my face daily (I am strange) and use a gel and in the shower I wash my face thoroughly but not with any special lotion. Like @hollydolly mentioned, I do use a sun protection lotion on my face when I plan on being out in the sun for periods of time, especially between around this time of year through October. My face rarely gets a dry look but my arms often do.

Maybe because he doesn't use products on it. I assume he's never worn make-up, either.

I would argue that there aren't many moisturizers and other skin products that don't have at least one ingredient that's not that great for your skin. (esp. affordable ones)

No. I don’t even use a deodorant. My wife always asks me “Why don’t you have any smell?” I tell her that if a person is clean, they shouldn’t have an odor. I seldom perspire, unless I am in Florida working or playing outdoors. I can jog 2 miles and never break a sweat.

I don't think deodorant is good for you. And I'm pretty sure the ingredients and empties do no favors for the environment.

Isn’t it true that deodorant can block the pores?
Yes, at least temporarily, plus they kill the micro-critters in your pits that are there to fight BO naturally. And, at least one ingredient - I think it's aluminium chlorohydrate, which is basically a salt - causes a lot of people to get an armpit rash.

I just don't think deodorant is necessary at all. Your body can control armpit odor if you allow it to. Just clean your pits once in a while and then leave them alone. Armpits are totally capable of keeping a pH balance and combating the kinds of bacteria that raise a stink without your help.

A few years ago, my skin, especially the side of my nose and back of my ears, would become scaly. I began using a variety of moisturizing creams and my face is much better now. In fact, some have mentioned that I have a younger face than my actual age.

I have very oily skin. There are days where I will wash my face twice to keep it down. So I don't moisturize. ,

Not really. Pretty rare I ever even use sunblock.

I do have a Noxzema knockoff that Amazon shipped me in error and didn't want back. Three jars of the stuff! So maybe twice a month I'll use that to clean my face, arms, and the backs of my hands.

I also have some SeaBreeze that I'll occasionally use on my nose, forehead, and even scalp. A bottle lasted me years even before I got that "free" cleansing cream above.

Normally I just use an alcohol-free Witch Hazel with Aloe as an aftershave. On rare occasions, maybe 4 times a month, I'll use something scented instead.

Hardly any wrinkles or rough skin, but I do need to see what can be done about baggy eyes now. :(
