I just read that as a headline and thought who here outside of the Aussies would have a clue what the hang they were on about, even the average Kiwi would wonder.

In team field sports a banana is a kick that makes a ball swerve, "banana" shape. A screamer is also terminology for a type of kick in team field sports games. But Monster Torp, what's that? I know that a torp is a lizard-like mythical creature but that's about it!

A Screamer, a Banana, and a Torpedo walk into a bar. The bartender looks up and says, "Sorry, we don't serve kicks here."

The Screamer slams his fist on the counter. "What do you mean you don't serve kicks? I just nailed one from halfway across the field!"

The Banana shrugs. "Yeah, well, I may not be fancy, but I'm always reliable."

The Torpedo just sits there silently, a steely glint in his eye.

The bartender sighs. "Alright, alright. But just one per customer."

The Screamer throws back a pint in one gulp. "Just what I needed after that performance!"

The Banana peels himself open and enjoys a leisurely snack.

The Torpedo, however, doesn't move.

Finally, the bartender asks, "Aren't you going to have anything?"

The Torpedo leans in and whispers, "I'm waiting for the full back."
