Truck crashed into our house today

@Mr. Ed I am so sorry that this has happened to you and yours! :(

One day my second wife and I decided to take a drive for about an hour. On returning we got to our street and noticed all these flashing lights at our house. A truck had driven right into our front door, and smashed our master bedroom and living room. What a mess. I would have probably been taking a nap in the master bedroom. :eek:
 

I think I see a Cell sticking out of the open door.
What the odds it caused the accident?
Bet the fellow needs a lesson learned in life here.
There most likely is a Cell Phone trace possible here.

Can visualize a move to another home, & a 6month rebuild goes on there.

In PA, we have no-fault insurance. If you have an accident and the other driver is found to be at fault, but has no insurance, your insurance pays under the category of “Uninsured Motorist.” You must carry that on your policy.

If you have an accident and no insurance, you don’t go to jail, unless you are DUI, but your rate will climb, you will be fined and probably lose your license for a few months or longer.
 
Wow! That was some heavy damage. I hope you can manage to navigate the insurance process as best possible. That's not always easy no matter who's insurance is covering the claim.

Hopefully whoever's insurance is covering the claim will send in their Restoration Associate people to provide some sort of immediate, temporary remedy as they wait for the final fix. At least that way you can get beck into your house again quickly.

It shouldn’t take 6 months to get the home fixed. A whole home can be constructed in 6 months.

Insurance should cover the cost of repairs; either yours or his or perhaps both
 
County superintendent gave permission to live in RV while house being repaired. Have to get approval from another person then all set. Need to establish new electrical service account, way to receive fresh water and contain waste discharge.

What a mess, so happy you and your family are okay. I feel sorry for your dogs. I hear a lot of houses being run into by cars, but never knew anyone having that problem until now. Glad you're keeping your cool and taking care of things, always something I guess. :rolleyes:
 
OH no! This is the first I noticed this. Terrible damage. I am so sorry. I don't know if you have all the details yet as to what happened.

Check & make sure the city doesn't mind you hooking into water .
If you use an outside hose for washing cars & such , could hook in there.
Unless that was damaged .

Using the waste hook up to hook into whatever your waste connection is.

I have spring water pump needs work and septic as far as I know
 
Do you already have an RV? We have full hook up at both houses. We have friends dropping in and can hook up and stay for a visit.
We had a Sheetrock party and had 5 campers in all set up here for the weekend.
