How far is Boston to where you live ?.. how long will you be staying ? :)
From Dulles Airport, it's about a 1 1/2 hour trip, but I'm 1 1/2 hours away from the airport. Visiting my son in Boston (at his college) for over a week. Will also visit Portsmouth, New Hampshire this weekend. He'll drive us up there. I have a board meeting to attend, then back to Boston early next week. More meetings there.

Boston is such a beautiful, lush city with many lakes. When I get a chance, will take photos.

Besides having the daily chat with my BFF, my oldest grandson called me this afternoon. We talked and laughed for almost three hours! It does my heart good because when we lost his mother, my Daughter-in-Love (Dec 2021), he was so devastated that his voice was unrecognizable during those first few days. He was destroyed and he (we) didn't think he would ever function normally again. I was in chill mode almost the entire time we talked and it fueled my laziness.

Tonight I wet Swiffer-ed the kitchen and bathroom floors. I had to sweep the bathroom floor first though. Since the litter box is in there, seems I can sweep it one minute and next thing ya know it could stand to be swept again. I cleaned the litter box for the second time today and helped get the garbage ready for my son to take out.

did you know that there's a Portsmouth , Hampshire ( not new)... here in the South of England... nowhere near as pretty as NH US. I have no doubt ... but our Portsmouth is a Naval City..

There are plenty of places called Portsmouth, but he one in UK dates from the early 12th. century and is the only English city that is built primarily on an island - Portsea island. Portsmouth is known locally as Pompey, but there is much debate as to the origin of this. I worked in or near there for many years - it wasn't a particularly nice city, but the surrounding area was OK.

Today I am catching four trains to get to Lancaster > Manchester Piccadilly > Sheffield > Doncaster.

I shall then spent 4 or 5 hours photographing trains on the station with maybe a nip out for some lunch. Then back home the same way!

Geeky Trainspotter Railway Enthusiast day! :p 📷🚆

Whoopee, it happened again, two days in a row to sleep in
till 6am yay......Brite and sunny out at 62F, up into 80's today
with no rain I think...dunno for sure what I'll get up to but
I'll find something....grass to be mowed I hope today, danged
grass keeping me broke from so much mowing....ah well....
catch u later on !!!:coffee::coffee::cool:

Leaving in a few hours for my Grandson's "Kid" Birthday Party with his friends. His actual Birthday is next week (6th BD) and there will be a party for the family on the actual day. My DIL is a nervous wreck, she's got a lot to do and prepare. They hired some entertainment. It will be held rooftop of their building, inside of course. That's my day.

I'm trying very hard, my friends, to focus on joy today, not on the insanities of the grown ups in attendance. May Peace Be With Me. That's all I want. That's all I ever wanted.

Can you switch to mowing every two weeks? It can get so dry in August I sometimes don't mow for weeks. I have a nice lawn guy who's very flexible with my requests.

This morning I have set up a televisit with the NP from my mom's doctors office. When that's over I can finally go grocery shopping.

I went back to sleep this morning at around 6am and slept till 8. Yay!

In other unimportant news, I got my hair cut last night. :( It will grow back fast though. Have a nice day all.

Slept in, then got up for a walk while Saturday's world was still a little sleepy out there and things were still a little crisp as the sun was well on its rise. Got home to an Amazon delivery of some mundane random items I keep forgetting at the store.

Put in a bit of work since an email had arrived answering some questions and providing a couple of document links. Feeling pretty good today though I can't imagine why... ok, things seem good right now.

No Birdy, cause we got a city grass inspector who takes his
job very, very seriously...last year myself and two neighbors had
letters from city about grass height, mine went to my landlord
he threatned eviction!!!!!

Yeah, we have a pretty strict 8 inch limit on grass height here as well, despite a local policy of "No Mow May." Go figure.

Dingbat neighbor. Found water pooling at the bottom of my driveway. Thought there was a water main leak or... ???

Nope, idjit has a hose out and left the water on. The nozzle leaks. The water runs down into my yard, down to the sidewalk, along the sidewalk in front of my house to my driveway. Perhaps she'll let some air out of her head and take care of it soon. She seems to have driven off in her gas guzzler. I'm hoping it's just dingbattitude and she didn't injure herself or something. Garage left open, gardening tools left out, etc.

Naval. Navel. Took me a while :ROFLMAO:

It was a morning, but I'm home now and glad to be here. Sir is going to "speak" to the manager in charge of approving the schedules. I saw her on my way out the door but bit my tongue. Let Sir deal with it.

It's overcast and sort of cool. Guess the day will be spent inside.
