How long does it take?

I had a flight from Los Angeles to NYC, or actually it was Newark. That is usually about a 5 1/2 hour flight. I had checked the aviation weather one morning and then I bet my First Officer that I could have us in Newark in less than 5 hours. The bet was for $100. I saw on TV at the hotel the aviation weather map on CNN and it called for West to East winds at 8 kts. gusting to 15 kts. I did it in exactly in 5 hours when the wheels touched down.

I let him keep his money, but told him what I did, so then he accused me of cheating. I told him being smarter than you is not cheating.

Same for me Oscash ;) over active mind at bedtime. Our thoughts are interesting but they keep going. Foot massages can soothe me and the applications with sounds of nature I love. My favorites are the sounds of rain. When you try yours let me know if it relaxes you. ☺️
Thanks LadyE: The lady in the department store told me she gets the app. for Rain sounds and Ocean sounds, (I don't think Ocean sounds would help because one year I was staying with friends, and they live at a beach and the crashing of the waves resulted 😒in no sleep all night). I think I'll try the Rain sounds.

It takes me 20 min to grocery shop for my bi monthly shopping.

Due to the medication I’m on, I wake up very slowly. Before I could get away with sleeping just 5 to 6 hours. Now I sleep an average of about 10 hours which seems excessive but if I don’t sleep that much, I’ll fall asleep on my car.
I just re-read my post and really need to say I didn’t mean to say I’d fall asleep on or in my car. I’d fall asleep in my lounge chair. Since I’m so medicated I no longer drive. My husband does all the driving.

I got one once that was supposed to be a "babbling brook". It sounded more like a toilet flushing....constantly. Nothing I want to go to sleep listening to.....

I'll bet we take the same meds. That's how I feel.

Not exactly a compliment to your doctor. I would wonder if he gets paid for the prescriptions he writes.
But my doctor prescribed a pill to take I to 2 a day but only ordered 30 pills. If I take more than one, I run out of pills. Two of my prescriptions are written like this. I ran out of one type of pill and didn’t have enough for the month not understanding that I can’t get a new prescription until those 30 days are gone.
It’s actually more not fair to me as the pull consumer.

BUT…. Luckily, thanks to the pharmacist, I do much better on 1/2 the amount. I went from needing only 5 to 6 hours sleep to 10 to 12 and gaining 40 pounds. I didn’t have the energy to do my exercises either.
