This morning after breakfast, I took the bus{bus stop is next to the end of Gates driveway,} to Kohl's looking for summer shorts, didn't find any
I walked 100 yards to small plaza went into Super Cuts, waited 15 min{ didn't have an appt} get hair cut, last time I was there in March. Then walked to $store bought couple of items, I waited 10 min for a bus to come home

Well it was passable...meat patty, taters with gravy, grn beans...
I've decided my new daily diet will be brkfast as normal, sausage/eggs/bacon/cereal some days, then late lunch from
MOW, then supper of Ice Cream....I think I'll do just fine ..... :giggle:

It's now 11.30pm... verrry hot .. no AC..standalone fans which are cooling the air within 12 inches of their blades.. it's 84 deg indoors..

I've just finished scanning and saving and sending MORE documents of ''proof'' of my finances, Insurance, and my ailments to his legal reps... and asking them that despite the fact that I've already supplied these, and they clearly have lost them, they are being very tardy and not sending very important bank statements from their client...

I was just thinking..I'm just so glad that I have this computer and my printer/copier/scanner. I've had to download... scan.. print.. send as PDF's .. send as hard copies... over 300 documents in the last 3 months... not to mention all the emails , sent back and forth, and the Zoom meetings with my lawyers, and all the uploads to my lawyers Portal... now if I hadn't have had a computer and scanner.. or didn't know how to save and send PDF documents or Excel... I would be well and truly up shirt street

God alone knows how anyone who can't afford the full services of a lawyer, like me.. can possibly cope if they don't have some or all of the technical machinery and wherewithal to do most of the work themselves ..it's just beyond credible...


On a different note I collected a tube of steroid cream the GP prescribed for me the other day. I have a 5mm mark on my arm which looks like a water filled blister but hasn't responded to any treatment in the last year.. so I have to use this Betnovate ointment for 8 weeks, one week on one week off.. so that's another thing I have to mark down somewhere and keep an eye on..


Aside from all that, my DD knew I was having the meeting with the lawyer and what this meeting entailed.. so as I drove along after the meeting.. she rang , and I pulled in to take her call because she never rings if she knows I'm out and about unless it's important.. and she said, she just wanted to ask how it went and to send me a Virtual Hug...:love:

Today is what I call a relaxed-busy day. I did some Swiffer-ing and got the laundry done. At first I started not to do it because I was feeling lazy when I woke up in the middle of the night. But because I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and the weather is forecast to be stormy Thursday morning, I figured it would be best to get it done. I felt more up to it after a bowl of Crunch n Munch. :D

In between taking the laundry down and bringing it back up, I made my nighttime prayer and morning (before dawn) prayer. I always feel better when I get those done. Once I started drying the clothes, I had to put away the rest of the laundry I did on the weekend to make room in the basket. I also started watching Annie, finished watching Jumanji: Next Level, played games and napped.
 
Being retired, my days are normally pretty much the same, but today was a pretty good day. This morning, I picked up my friend and took her to her doctor's appointment. She had to have her eyes dilated, so she couldn't drive herself. Then, she took me to lunch at a Chinese restaurant. Then, I drove her home. Then, she took me... to the moon. That hasn't happened in a long, long time. It was a good day.

It's 12.30pm...hot & sunny. I want to go and walk over to the woods and lake at the back of my house.

However I have an Amazon delivery coming between 2 & 5pm...now I have a sign on my door telling people to deliver around the back. Everyone follows this instruction, postman, other delivery drivers.. but NOT Amazon..he dumps it on the front doorstep and leaves..ripe for doorstep thieves.

He did it again yesterday....I've even pointed the sign it out to him, not that anyone can miss it.... but he either can't read or just downright lazy not to walk another few feet.

I actually always like to book deliveries when I know I'll be home but sometimes like in this case.. they split the delivery..when I haven't asked for it to be split. They delivered one item on Monday.. I came home yesterday and found a parcel on the doorstep as part of the initial delivery and now there's to be the 3rd part today.. so irritating..

On my early walk this morning at 6:40,temp was 70 as I walked around the complex,lately this is how I start my day
Yesterday afternoon, Marcia called to see how I like my new sofa, told her its' great& very comfortable.' I asked if she was going to be home Fri,because I'll be coming back to Tudor Plaza to, hand in my July monthly fee
She suggested I come over this morning around 11:15, because she is going to a lunch meeting. This will be a test to see how long it takes me to get there. When I was living at TP,their house was 2 blocks away took me 10min,now its 6 blocks
I'll be bringing my lunch so Tage can 'share' it with me, can't wait to see him this will definitely be the highlight of my day
 
Anything I do today will be great and I will love and enjoy this beautiful hot sunny summer day. Actually doing the same old thing, watch The View, Young & Restless, must go to Bank because I am buying myself a gift on Friday; off to 99 cent store, yes, a YawnFest but I've got a good feeling about this day.
 
Good morning friends......It apparently started raining about
3am or so, still light rain out there, sorta needed it...68F now,
up into 90's again today....can't think of anything new going on,
altho my social supvr called and I filled her in on lack of comms
with the palliative care folks, she was surprised and was gonna
try and see what's going on....seems I'm in a limbo status getting any help with my painful hands....ah well, I could be
much much worse off....take care folks......;):love::coffee:

Today is supposed to be cooler than yesterday. Really? It was 100 yesterday. Today is supposed to be 98. That's cooler?

I have a wellness check this morning. This is the first one and I believe it's through Medicare.
I'll see a nurse at my doctor's office.
I think it's where they do a basic check. Diet, lifestyle, cognition, etc. I should look in my Medicare book before I go.

It will be 100° today. I don't think we've had any rain in June except for a rain cloud that passed one evening.
Tomorrow should start some good chances of rain as the high pressure dome is moving off.
I've kept my plants alive...barely.

My son and family are in London. Looks hot there too.
 
Today will be warm, possibly hot by noon. The plan is to get the strenuous work done by, maybe, 11am. After that, pursue things like weeding the strawberry bed.

We had another incursion by our yearling bear yesterday, which we successfully chased away. I'd been to the hardware store and I priced out a new, more powerful fence energizer. That plus two more strands of wire around the perimeter of our area of concern on our property should solve the bear issue.

Another visitor, though not a problem. A Western Painted Turtle... just showed up walking slowly in the mown grass near our house. Strong and with sharp little claws. I took it down to our pond, where it happily swam around, swimming fast and choosing to remain under water for some time.

Sitting in the shaded courtyard of Relic Coffee, listening to mellow jazz (some en Francais, my fave 🇫🇷 😊), sipping a cortado, having devotions and planning my day The Morris Museum of Art is top priority…. But there are also used bookstores to explore, interesting cuisines to check out and who knows what else 😆!
