My paintings as promised

I mentioned earlier that over the last 50 odd years I have only created a handful of paintings. The reason being is that I did art as a youngster, on an almost daily basis, to escape from domestic violence. When I left home my art was no longer needed, and to do art freely was/is done with some feelings of trepidation.

Anyway, I'll post what paintings I have completed. Ten in all.

Well done. But that face looks a little spooked.

What medium do you use? Acrylics?

Glad you liked the those two, they are somewhat surreal.
It was only since I posted something similar in 'My art as therapy' that I must have released some of my past experience into the Yowie painting.
 
Very good. I used to draw, not paint after my mother died. It was a way to work out my feelings. Often I would combine unrelated things as the mood struck me. But over time, I lost the motivation. I did like to draw realistic faces from magazines and album covers.

I love your paintings. I can understand how you painted from feeling.
 
You are immensely talented!

I'm so sorry, but it's understandable about your art being needed in childhood and you don't feel the want or need to do it as much as an adult. If I understood that correctly.

My favorites are the first and the beach painting. I wonder what the significance of the tree bar painting is?
