What's for dinner ( or lunch )

For dinner I had one stuffed mushroom (from my favorite diner). I made steamed broccoli and instant mashed potatoes to go with that. My instant mashed taste very much like the real deal because I add ICBINB spray, cream cheese, as well as spices and herbs to taste.

Which pasta do you prefer to make your salad with? For some reason, I like the spiral pasta; don't know why cuz I don't use it for any cooked pasta dish I make. Just got in the habit of using that I suppose.

It has more surface for the sauce to cling to.

I was waiting for someone to ask HD. It's I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. The spread doesn't taste the same to me, so I always use the spray which adds a somewhat salty taste. I do not shake salt on my food due to high BP. I love that stuff and put it on/in so many things.

Fish and chips. I don't know why they call it that when really it usually comes with French fries. I'm making this at home with one Gorton's fish pollack fillet and Bowl & Basket (a Shoprite brand) crinkle fries.

No it actually comes with Chips.. which is the correct name for them being as they're Chipped potatoes...

Some restaurants serve it with "chips", some serve with potato wedges and some serve with regular French fries. The worse I've ever had was with the chipped potatoes at an Italian restaurant where my friend Hunter performs. They were burnt and tasteless, so next time I had it there, I asked for regular fries. When we had it at the Grand Lux Cafe, it was with regular fries. Nathan's serves fried potato wedges. Here is an image search page for Fish and chips, most showing regular fries.

Yes I know they are your national dish. These look similar to what Nathan's used to serve. There are no more around here, so I haven't had theirs in several years. That looks so good!

I'm making Minced beef, medley of mushrooms.. cabbage, sausages, and dumplings in beef gravy. It's almost ready and I'll have that with Colcannon, and freeze the rest for another day

Almost 5 pm...Just had late lunch early dinner...

Cooked a whole pack of fresh Mushrooms, because they won't keep until I get back... had half of them with Baked beans and sausages... I'd just started to eat when my DD rang and she was on the phone for about 1/2 an hour..so my dinner was cold when I got back to it...
