I guess I'm an odd ball, but I just don't get high heels. Rather than being attractive, they just look strange to me. And they must be uncomfortable to wear and walk in.
Exactly, Fuzzy. There was a time, long, long ago when I wore stiletto shoes. However, Mum was a shoe saleswoman and had always made sure that any shoes I wore as a child were a good fit for my rather short but rather wide feet. As a result I had always known foot comfort and soon gave up the very high heels in favour of cuban heels.I'm a guy with size 13 extra-extra wide feet- my duck feet. So, all I know about wearing high heels is that women wear them to weddings, etc. And when it's time to dance, the shoes get left under the table. And on the way home, all I hear is how bad her feet feels.

Now in my eighties I give thanks to my mother for my feet, that are still in excellent condition.

And now I can't find my way back to it.I saw that but didn't know what to say..
