I think that might be a "luncheon" set. They were often sold in creative and fun styles, same as "tea" sets. I'd rate it a 10 for creativity and fun.On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=ugliest, 10=very attractive), how would you rate this dinnerware design?

Now I like the sailboat design. The colour is easier on the eyes. Iām not fond of bright orange. Iād give the sailboat design a 10.Well, shiver me timbers!
The saucers and plates look like something worn on your head in the 1700s & 1800s.
I'd give it a 7 if it were laid out on a table in a museum featuring items from the 1930s. Anywhere else, I'd give it a 3, downgraded to a 1 based on its colour.

I agree with @WheatenLoverI like it, but only to look at. I like a lot of mid-century modern stuff, but I don't like the color orange much.
