I'm listening to a children's sleep story podcast that's really cute but also thought provoking. It's called Koala Moon.
I like how the stories highlight the imagination of children. In one story, the children are making wishes that the fairy can make come true.
As an aside, the narrator noted that she doesn't make wishes when she blows out the candles on her birthday cake anymore. She says that perhaps she should do that again. Sometimes as we get older, we get jaded and stop believing in things like wishes.
I think a wish is just a hope, and it's nice to articulate hopes sometimes, if not often. After I heard that, I made a list of wishes. My birthday is not for a while.
Do you still make wishes when you see a falling star or blow out the candles on a birthday cake or just whenever you feel like it?
