Matrix can help us, I think. There has to be a way to detect them.
I quoted you as saying:Look here.. this is what you posted quoting me ..
esii posted the following reply to me: (apparently, he has now been deleted)

Amazing that a person who questions the identity of humans (as AI) is asking AI for answers.
Paradoxes galore in our world.
May we be kind and compassionate to our fellow human beings.
Let's not throw burning oil on someone we don't know -- needlessly -- if we cannot provide a soothing balm.
TY.

Yes, izi has been deleted.Joking aside, I thought a recent poster on this forum was a Bot...forget his handle though...'izi' or something?
Maybe I'm wrong, I wouldn't put it past me. I didn't want to pester Matrix, but I hoped this thread might invite him to enlighten us.Exactly, that's what I'm trying to say. I've been a member of forums for 30 years..I don't recall seeing any Bot or AI posting on a forum at all in the way you describe
If you suspect a ‘member’ is AI, just don’t correspond with them. You don’t have to be driven away. Why would I, or anyone else for that matter, spend my time exchanging thoughts with an artificial person?
I'm not surprised. His responses were mostly all over the place. I could never decide what he really thought. How do they do that? The thoughts and responses, I mean.Yes, izi has been deleted.
I wish I had known that. Hard to get my head around that idea.If you suspect a ‘member’ is AI, just don’t correspond with them. You don’t have to be driven away.
Yes! I think that's another indicator of AI: Often talking without really saying anything, never original, just spouting sunshine everywhere, shades of politiciansI'm not surprised. His responses were mostly all over the place. I could never decide what he really thought. How do they do that? The thoughts and responses, I mean.
Thanks a for familiarizing me with the term: "catfishing". Amazing the many motives that a person can have for doing that!Catfishing. That happens all the time. There's an entire TV show (and subReddit) devoted to it. My kids used to love it.
There's also a fascinating documentary case called TalHotBlond. Talhotblond (2009) | WatchDocumentaries.com
well, it could be aliens?who do you think is AI ..here ?![]()

I received a very peculiar chat message about a couple weeks ago.
I was going to forward it to Matrix, but decided not to bother
him with it. Initially, I thought it was a past member here and who
was a friend. But I just closed the chat box so IT could not contact
me further. Can't recall the profile name this moment, it might come
to me though later. Was like something from MARS literally...
Good point. just using 3 letters as a handle seems a bit stupid for AI. They could use real imaginative handles. Like "spot", or Vladamire", or "crunchy man" or Bob Willington".I'm glad this came up... I've been watching it, too. I didn't really think anyone could believe that esii, eii, izi, and another "lowercase i person" or two that I won't name at the moment, are not the same poster. May have added/switched to lowercase e recently, I see.
Anyhow, after watching a while, I no longer think these posts are AI generated, but a live person playing pathetic loser games. *That* is how they can answer questions like "are you a bot"... what I don't know is if it's actually a senior who got butt hurt and banned and has nothing better to do with his/her remaining time on earth than to play childish cat and mouse games with us.... or a person who's not a senior at all and gets perverse (and extremely creepy) pleasure out of continually returning to see how much they can get away with and if "the old people" are smart enough to catch them.
Besides, pretty sure AI generated "members" would be smarter than being so obvious with choosing handles... this is vendetta/game territory. Oh well, there ya go with my 2 cents.![]()
I know you mentioned a person once, when you were relatively new here. Are you saying it happened to you again?I'm less worried about bots or other automated "members" than I am the members here who treat catfishing as a sport.
jiki has been deleted.jiki, are you AI? If not, I hope I have not offended you.
