Maybe not intelligence, but it can logic. Heard a story of a scientific company that was using AI to solve a very convoluted problem by an exact date. The AI changed the date.

I missed most of them too! I think they must have been evicted fairly quickly.

Hah! Four times total now. But I'm wise to it and chase them off pretty fast, entirely by being polite.

I don't know about any AI "people" on the forum. People make all kinds of assumptions though, like that I only post to antagonize etc. People get a kick out of thinking the worst of other people, I'm afraid. Such is life.

But getting back to AI... AI can now write songs, and allow us to listen to them. I love music. Now, if I hear a song and really like it, but it was written by AI, should I not like it anymore? In other words, if I like a song, does it really matter when it came from?

I've pondered this for a bit. If I read a novel, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, is it really better/worse if it was generated by AI? Why is my enjoyment dependent on the source? It's just entertainment.

Likewise - if I have an online conversation with someone I think is real, and I laugh, cry, discuss things to a good level..... does it ultimately matter if they're AI? When it comes to forum members, we're unlikely to ever meet in person, so aren't I just a bunch of words on the screen? My experience is that people are always different in some way in real life.

So I don't know..... for some of this, I think I'd just dig what I dig.

It's going very well, there is a problem with the internet right now, and the connection is intermittent I'm working on another report it will be out shortly.
