That silver shaker is the thing it was made in. When we rode the bus into Charleston for a shopping trip, my mother would take all three kids to lunch at the Valley Bell. There she would order one shake and four small glasses and one ham salad on toast. Mother would then take the silver shaker and divide the shake into fourths and cut the sandwich into four pieces. I don't remember ever being hungry but that's how we ate back then.Straw!

Straw or no straw? Well I like both. Some days I wear a straw hat, others I wear felt.
Remember? Had one a few weeks ago!Straw!

Straw ... especially if I'm driving or I'd be wearing it.
Eat lots of spinach OldFeller and you’ll have enough strength to suck that paste through the straw. How do you suck paste through a straw?
That's why I never enjoyed milkshakes.
Me, as someone used to breastfeeding more than 6 decades ago, I'd use a straw'Straws are for suckers'![]()
