Went to bring my wheelie bins in from the Kerb after being emptied, only to find for the second time my next door neighbour has taken one of my bins instead of theirs..
It's not like they're identical.. they are 2 distinctive shades of the same colour plus we all have our addresses on the front of the bins.

I wouldn't ordinarily mind, but this neighbour doesn't keep their bins clean, so they've left their grubby bin for me..

I knocked their door.. but it seems they are out.. so I've dragged their bin up their path and left it there .. and hopefully when they get home they'll realise they've taken my bin .. and bring it around...

And MORE COWBELL!!!

Got a load in washer now, thats about all I've done so far
today....feeling sorta "off" for unknown reason....may be it
is the 9/11 business, or not....just tired of my existence I think.
Always alone unless someone is "scheduled" to be here, cant
got out to shop any more...iffy for me to go outside even tho
I did okay couple days ago, .....fox has left me hi n dry, and no
stray cats coming by for snacks....well what the hell, I'm allowed
I guess.....no worries.....:(:giggle::devilish:

Yesterday was capped off by DW, myself, and two of our friends watching ABC's presidential debate while eating homemade pizza & salad, plus blueberry-pie & ice cream. (Note: this isn't political, because we can't join any U.S. party and can't vote.) Just four Canadians interested in tuning into what's happening with 'our neighbors to the south'.

But that was the evening of a weird day, which started with me finding the tailpipe of my pickup had rusted off behind the muffler, and the front had dropped to the ground. I spent a half hour getting the back end of it disengaged so I could remove the tailpipe. Since being without a tailpipe didn't produce any undue noise & no fumes in the cab, I drove it to an appointment in one of our small cities 50 minutes away.

Then... I nearly got rammed by a fast driving guy behind me, and maybe 10 minutes later, nearly got T-boned on the driver's side by another car (whew!). But I made it to my appointment unscathed. My drive home was uneventful. I must say that when I moved into the area in which I've now lived for 40 years, drivers were more accommodating & patient. Now generally people want to get where they're going hastily.

An interesting mixed day today. Dropped my car off for a service at 8am. Caught the bus into the city and walked up to the Castle. On the way up the hill I fell hard on some wet leaves. Took a few chunks out of the camera I had round my neck (It's fine) and three gashes out of my knee (It will be fine, wince) then caught the train down to Preston.

Spent a few hours walking about taking photos. Chatted to some total strangers (Mrs Oy says I could talk a glass eye to sleep) then had a nice spicy Mexican salad thing with Chorizo and King Prawns for lunch. Back home via two trains and then walked down to the garage to pick up the car. All in all a day of pretty much winging it as I went along. Lovely :)

Gosh, I'm all behind like the cow's tail. Yesterday was pretty much a wash (I'm positive it was the damned egg!), and today was mostly sleeping. Still feeling a little weak but on the mend.

@hawkdon I wish your fox would come back. Or maybe a perfectly good kitty will wander in to keep you company? BTW, in the event that a kitty shows up, be careful not to trip over it!

@coupleNmotion That's quite a walk! Just curious, what was the temp when you were out there?

It might actually rain a little tonight and 70% chance for rain (and wind) tomorrow. That would be splendid, but I dare not get my hopes up. @hearlady are y'all expecting rain there, too? I have to admit I'm looking forward to much cooler temps.

Nothing got done here today except sleep and more sleep. No flower seeds were planted :(. I'm hoping there's still plenty of time to get them in the ground.

Morning gang!!! It is 62F outside, warmer than wed.....going to
about 85 I think, no rain again, we are getting pretty dry out....
Right paw is bothering me, arthritis I guess, got 2 pain patches

letters from Medicare, and another one, what a mess...
Still no sign of the fox, boo hoo, and no stray cats to feed LOL...
Catch u later on......;):coffee::devilish:

On my early walk at 6:40 went a block to buy local paper,temp was 63 as the sun was coming out
My close friend, Marcia called me yesterday wondering if I would like to dog sit my 'buddy boy', Tage this morning, of course I said 'Yes', she'll pick me up around 9:50,will be with him for a couple of hrs
This will be a nice distraction because when I get back I have to pack,which I hate doing
I'm flying out tomorrow morning to NYC for the weekend,my great nephew, Xavier{ born in Feb} my niece, Katie&hubby Zach's son is being christened on Sun.It'll be just family, 1st time we've been together since their wedding 2 yrs ago I return Mon around noon

@moviequeen1 Have a great time!

@jet Your garden is beautiful. Wish mine was as tidy as yours. There are climbing roses in mine that need to be deadheaded and pruned, but somehow it just seems to get overlooked by the time I'm done with everything else each day.

@hollydolly A high temp of 56? Gosh, that's winter weather here. It's only supposed to be low 70s here for the next few (rainy) days. The rain really did happen last night with more on the way.

@hawkdon I wish your fox🦊 friend would come back:( Knock wood, I haven't had any communication about Medicare hack and hope I don't!
I woke up at 0330 AM. I have to work an extra day this week. I'm already worried about it.

This so called supervisor (smoke break every hour) at work asked me and I was afraid to say no. Next time I will say no. If I'm scared of her or not.
Remember that "no" is a complete sentence. Um. I forget that myself way too often:rolleyes:

Well it seems that I didn't poison myself with the fresh sliced mushrooms that were cheap as a "manager's special." I washed them and sautéed them in butter with thinly-sliced onion and even cooking them down I have quite a bit of it. At least I feel safer about a second meal using them now! :ROFLMAO:

Does anyone else sometimes have foods that feel a little dicey?

This morning's earthquake knocked out the local water main so we've been without water for several hours. Keeping large bowls of pool water in the bathrooms for handwashing and toilet flushing, and using bottled water for drinking and cooking.

Letting the dishes stack up until the water comes back on.
