I never made this dish before, but I had packaged chicken I had to use. I thought buying store made biscuits would be quicker and easier than making them. So I put cubed biscuits in the bottom of a Dutch oven, placed the cooked chicken on top of that, then a layer of mushrooms and poured canned gravy over it, then cooked at 360F for 45 minutes. I sampled some when it finished and it wasn't bad. When it cooled, I put it in the fridge. I just tried to have some for lunch and the biscuits congealed in the bottom and made it very difficult to scrape out of the pot.
