Do you remember the first time you saw "The Wizard Of Oz"?

We've all seen it, maybe multiple times. It's pretty much a part of a child's heritage. I was about 8, when it was rereleased, and was shown at my local theater. I was blown away by the famous scene when B&W Dorothy opens the door to full color Munchkin land. I love the chant the witch's guards sing- "or-ree-oh, yo oh".

Oh, yes! The witches feet curling up under the house haunted me for years but I loved, loved, loved it!

I don't remember the first time I saw it, but it wasn't at a theater. Where I lived they played the movie on TV on Thanksgiving Day. All the kids would gather around the TV to watch it. But it was before the time when everyone had a color TV so we never got to see B&W to color. I have fond memories of watching the movie on Thanksgiving with sister and cousins.

Yes I do. Our family just got a coloured tv and the first time I got to see ‘The Wizard of Oz’ I watched it in colour. It starts off in black and white then turned to colour once over the rainbow. I was about 7 or 8.

I don't remember exactly when, but I'm thinking I was probably around 10.... so that would make it the late '60s.

Yes about the late 60's for me as well..I've watched it multiple times since... My favourite scene is the munchkin scene on the yellow brick road . It was a genius film for it's time..look at any film made in 1929... and the vast difference in the production

I still shudder at the flying monkeys. Scared me to death as a kid. They just creeped me out.

Judy was our hero and we sang the song..We're Off To See The Wizard etc., for weeks afterwords

Have you seen some of the remakes, and all the different cartoons about it? It's nuts...I never liked any of the spin offs...just the originale.
