Still sleeping off the migraine, I went to be about 7:30 last night. Did not fall asleep until after midnight, then was still there until 10 this morning. Yes, drugs were taken, muscle relaxers and anxiety medication. Just got up from a nap this afternoon and I finally feel a little better. For some reason I feel better if I get a little protein down so had a little steak for breakfast. Kept it down thank God!

These are the times that I hate living alone, so much pain!! You think you are going to have a heart attack or a stroke. It never gets any easier though you know what is happening your mind just goes crazy. This is why I always keep the house full of easy things to cook, chicken noodle soup, eggs, little pieces of protein for the airfryer, gatorade.

My migraines come with a sick stomach, vomiting and you know, the other. We had a cool front move in and that sets me off. Once we get to true winter it lets up, I have less attacks.

I wish I knew what causes the dogs reactions, It is like they go into some kind of mutiny, constant barking and wanting in an out nonstop. Little girl dog got sick the day before and had it coming and going, nothing like cleaning that up when you feel bad. The carpet cleaner may be worn out. Thank heaven she is fine now as I would have had to call the son to get her to the vet.

I just get so tired to being on my own, I am sure many of you feel the same. When you are part of a couple it is such a blessing to be able to look after each other. Even when the kids still lived with me it was such a comfort to know someone was here if I was sick!!

Last thing, I know many of you are expecting or experiencing bad weather. We did have a bad storm come through Dallas. I hope everyone laid in supplies and plenty of food and water just in case. Not that I am expecting storm problems but I will be placing a delivery of the basics since I don't feel well.
Often it is just not the flooding but also the high winds. The wind can bring down big trees that can block access to roads and you are cut off from resources. I feel blessed that I am in the position financially and have adequate storage to keep a stockpile.

Use any resource you have, go to the food bank, churches etc. Keep extra water, canned goods, batteries and flashlights. Get extra blankets at the thrift stores, garage sales. Just wash well in hot water and they are fine. If you are limited on room, use the space under beds, drawers that are not full, anywhere you can!! Find no embarrassment or shame if you need help!! All of us who donate to charity do it to make your life safe, better!! Lastly, don't be shy to ask friends and family for help when you need it.

I don't suppose there's any way you can stock up with those ?
I don't think that is even a possibility. The government has cracked down so hard on certain medications that they will not be refilled until the almost the last day before your doctor ordered refill is allowed. People with chronic pain conditions, that they have had for years are even being cut off. Doctors are not allowed to decide what their patient needs. They are now being sent off to pain management doctors, they will also not dispense pain meds, they will try everything.

I have a cabinet full of muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatories anxiety meds and sleeping pills, this all to not prescribe what I need, pain killers. So, I work with what I have. I think I am more prone to an overdose than if I just had pain killers to address the true problem. Kind of stupid in my opinion but doctors are monitored for each and every opioid prescription they give.

This has been going on for almost 15 years despite testing that has proven the problems in my body do exist and they do cause pain. Went to the GP for a year with hip pain, nothing was done until I had no flex response in my knee. Sent to the ortho, turns out the hip bone had died and collapsed, so now I have a hip replacement. I had 12 years of botox in my head until I finally had a MRI of my neck. Yep, the neck is all screwed up with bulging discs and severe narrowing of my spinal cord, impinging on nerves. They say it is not bad enough for correction surgery.

All I can say is WTF, we get old, we suffer as our bodies breakdown but we are not worth the trouble to fix. Okay, I can live with that but they could at least give us pain killers that were developed for just these type of things. They could and can at least make us comfortable while we are waiting to die. Our pain restricts what we can do and denies us of the opportunities to enjoy the time we have left.

Can you tell I am angry? There are people all over this nation that spend their days in pain and there is no need for that.

Do you have any flooding at your place?

I don't suppose there's any way you can stock up with those ?
No. I'll just have to wait til they get a supply.

I do have a big stash of muscle relaxers, and a strong pain reliever that knocks me out for hours.

I slept all day. Woke up about 20 minutes ago. In a little while, Meesh will feed me and give me a massage, I'll watch videos for a couple-few hours, take some more, and go to bed.

Yesterday I spoke to 4 different people during the day... today I spoke to only one... I've started to keep track of how many people I speak to in real life per day.....

I had an appointement at the surgery tomorrow morning with my GP but because we have the heavy rain I've decided not to go, and so I've cancelled it.. madness because I'll wait weeks again before I get to see the GP.. but hey that's how it goes here..

I want to get my stair carpet cleaned, but using a rental machine will be too heavy for me.. so I don't know quite what to do, I think the companies that come in and do it, are quite expensive..
There's a type of vacuum called a shop vac that you can use to clean carpet via the vacuum's hose. The hose is very long and you only have to move the canister when it's empty, and it's quite light then.

I had "corrective" surgery on my spine in 2016. I got rods and anchors, my spine straightened out, and man, I was great for a while. Felt 20 years younger, walkin' tall on my own 2 feet, and doin' life.

Now the stuff they put in there is causing pain. My spine above and below that rod is collapsing, narrowing my spinal canal and trapping nerve roots.

They didn't know what they were doing. Not their fault, they just didn't know the issues it would cause down the road. They probly practiced on cadavers, and they don't complain. So you might be lucky they didn't surgically correct your spinal issues. (it was great while it lasted, though)

Dr. appointment today, my GP who I have not seen in a really long time. Made sure the appointment was after Young & Restless, which I am sincerely looking forward today. Yesterday's episode was an absolute sensation; the best of TV! For those who watch I claim Sharon DID NOT kill Heather. That will be proved. Sharon is not a killer, unless in self defense, i.e. Cameron. She is guilty of disposing the body.

But, of course, Heather might NOT be dead. Stranger things have happened; i.e. Diane.

Yesterday's episode Emmy worthy.

It's 7am here and so far the dog drilled my son's bed from comforter through sheets and mattress pad (it's raining outside), then son's car wouldn't start, and now the garbage disposal is clogged because I asked it to actually do something besides rinse toast crumbs off plates (it was potato peelings.)

So I came here to complain, and read Murrmurr and Blessed's posts and got things in perspective. Also got a laugh from Pepper's post.
Hugs to all.

Yep, we do, glad I have great insurance but that does not solve the problem, we are still made to suffer the pain.
yes and your insurance is probably very expensive... I'm so sorry that's happening to you, it seems to be happening to all of us in the UK and the US in one way or another...
