We had severe storm warnings for a couple of days. There was a lot of rain, off and on. Nothing like warned about here. Some lightning may have hit south in some areas. There’re reports of fires.

Got our new TDBU blind back up. Even though no one but the gardeners go back there, it felt like sitting in a fish bowl at night.

Been to the grocery store for non-perishables (only pleasantly busy right now— massive crowds will probably happen later. ). Bought a couple extra flashlights last night

Will freeze what I can that’s in the refrig and try to finish up fresh stuff that can’t be frozen

Getting buckets ready to collect rain water to flush the toilets just in case

Having my car oil changed

Will bring in the lawn chairs and pull the bins up on the car port

Check on Ed and make sure he has what he needs

Welp just had my fall again......but a miracle, I didn't need to call
the firemen to help me up!! Couple weeks ago I saw on u tube
how to lift myself up using steps of a sort, so I had put my "pet
steps" out in the living room just in case...well this was the time
to try it out, I crawled to those steps, drug them over to my
chair, put one arm on a step, then one leg on the steps and
got myself up right into recliner...!!!! YAY!!!!!!:LOL:😅

Yeaaah...good for you remembering to put the steps out... hope you didn't hurt yourself in the fall, but the marvellous thing was that you managed to get yourself up.. excellent job hawkie...(y)

sorry Llynn missed your post...ugh ! I feel for you.. you've really been through the mill this last while. 😩

I'll be with you in spirit .. I go for pre-surgery tests on the 8th for suregery I think it's the 20th or around that date..

I wish you everything you wish for yourself...
 
I sorted laundry and started the next phase of decluttering the bedroom, something I've been putting off for weeks. I did something else I'd been procrastinating about and finally called our attorney firm because I had questions for an entertainment lawyer. He got back to me fairly quickly and took time to answer all my questions after which we had a brief chat. I spoke to my BFF and texted my Honorary Son (HS), both of whom are in hurricane territory . HS is in Tampa and will feel the effects of Helene worse than BFF who's further down on Florida's west coast.

Yesterday I spoke to 4 different people during the day... today I spoke to only one... I've started to keep track of how many people I speak to in real life per day.....

I had an appointement at the surgery tomorrow morning with my GP but because we have the heavy rain I've decided not to go, and so I've cancelled it.. madness because I'll wait weeks again before I get to see the GP.. but hey that's how it goes here..

I want to get my stair carpet cleaned, but using a rental machine will be too heavy for me.. so I don't know quite what to do, I think the companies that come in and do it, are quite expensive.. :unsure:
