Biden Vs. Hillary Who Do SF Liberals Prefer?

If you are a liberal who would you prefer get the nomination and would you vote for that person?

Bernie best personifies the political ideals I believe in but Hillary has crafted a Realpolitik position with which she can engage today's toxic political environment. She's my gal for sure. Joe Biden is a great guy with great liberal roots but he's a bit too old to carry out a campaign for the presidency in this day and age.

I've stated this before but I'll repeat it. With the congress and supreme court both republican majorities, the last thing we need is to lose the Presidency. Unlike some I depend on my Social Security and Medicare. It's no secret, the GOP tried several times to erode or eliminate those programs. I will vote for any Democrat on the ballot. If others consider their own well being, they will too.

This 2016 election is shaping up to be a real zoo. The Republicans seem to be bent on self destruction with their choice of announced candidates....and the Democrats seem unable to find anyone who might mount a serious challenge to "Queen Hillary". Both Biden and Sanders would be a far better choice for the nation....but both have to contend with the "Age" issue. Hillary Clinton is going to have a real issue with "Trust", and her overriding priority of "That which is Good for Hillary".

Don, If it's lesser of evils I'll stick with Democrats for the reasons I stated above. There is not a candidate for any party who is squeaky clean, you don't get to run for President and stay clean, it's a fact of life and only the naive believe otherwise.

Lon, to answer the question you asked (which as yet no one else has), of the two I would probably prefer Hillary.

Staying focused is a real struggle for quite a few people here at SF.

Yup, this election is shaping up to be a real "hold your nose" event. Anyone who has been in politics for any length of time invariably brings along a lot of "baggage", but this current list of candidates is among the worst I can remember. I will be paying close attention to the upcoming Republican debates....primarily to see if these people seem to be as far out as the media is reporting them to be.

Hillary does have One substantial attribute that might we worth considering. I am quite sure that during the Bill Clinton years, she was the Real Power behind the Oval Office....I think she was Bill Clinton's primary, and most important adviser during his terms. As such, she already has 8 good year of experience...and those 8 years were some of the better ones for this nation in recent decades.

Agree. Also as it relates to Bush (her most likely opponent), the apple didn't fall far from the tree and I recall eight years of his agreeing right down the line with his brother. A second Clinton in the White House is one thing, a third for a Bush quite another.

Hillary is 67 and I don't really think she can handle rigors of the Oval Office with her temper.
"BILL!!!! what do I do...what do I do?????"

Bush (Senior) wasn't too bad, but GWB sure made some poor decisions....and Jeb Bush's tenure as a Governor in Florida probably bears close scrutiny. Personally, I wish someone from outside the Washington "crowd" would begin to emerge....but if Trump is an example of what that would mean, Good Grief!

I get impression that the Hillary campaign is already going to great lengths to "orchestrate" her campaign, and carefully "script" any public statements. Given her age, and temperament, If left to her own devices, she would probably quickly blow her chances. That is why I would like to see some serious challenge from the Democratic side...taking her into some good, no holds barred, debates.

Ain't gonna happen Don. I am focusing on Democrats winning the White House and the Veto hammer and mark my words It will be needed.

I like Joe Biden and if he were running he would be a formidable opponent for Hillary, but Hillary is way ahead in all the polls with Democrats and Republicans for a reason.

She'll make a good president and stand up to Republican venum well.

I don't think Biden is electable. I've enjoyed him a VP. He and his family seem like really great people. The tragedies he has endured with losses of those dear to him have to have had an effect.

Of the two, I do believe Ms. Clinton is the most electable. Of the 17 + 4... I think she's the most electable.

I don't consider myself a 'liberal', more of a centrist. But, my voting has gone more with Democratic candidates....being the lessor of evils generally.

Let's go with Bernie or Biden.
