Yesterday afternoon, Saturday, at the Pacifica Fog Fest (art/food/music street festival, a 45 mile drive, 2 blocks from ocean), much enjoyed a talented Led Zeppelin tribute band, and other bands on 2 stages. And yes was rather foggy with temp about 60F. Anything neon colored glows in the mid day fog light. Not as big a street festival as other recent weekend events I've gone to but still lots of people ~30,000 each day.

Today Sunday with same nicely cool foggy weather, is a second list of bands with a psychedelic rock band, 2 pop rock blues covers bands, plus Steely Dan and Prince tribute bands. 2 much fun for an old d guy.

10:30am PDT now so about time for me to get on the road.
LOL...Led Zeppelin and prince...... I'd have the door shut and barred on them... ;) not my cuppa char at all

I don't usually run errands in the rain, but today I made an exception so I could take advantage of some deals. Today was the last day for McDonald's buy one get one free breakfast sandwiches via their app. I ordered my favorite... egg and cheese biscuits. There was barely a drizzle until a couple of blocks before I got home when I needed to put up my umbrella. Otherwise my hooded jacket and rain hat sufficed.

The supermarket is not far from Mickey D's so I decided I may as well buy the most expensive items that I get from there today instead of waiting until next week. Discover's 5% cash back on groceries ends tomorrow. I spent a whole $23.13. 😅 BTW the most expensive items were a 3 lb bag of Bird's Eye frozen broccoli florets for $6.99 and Gorton's crunchy fish fillets, bag of 10. for $7.99.

most people here don't have that much space between them and their neighbours, even tho' I know its small to many Americans.. Canadians..and Australians
Canada is huge. Our habitable land area, not so much. Most of the new homes are tall. The builders are saving money and land is expensive. Most of our habited areas run contiguous with the border of the US. There’re lots of acreages in the country. It’s not what what you’d think of when looking at a map.

My son almost caught me being stoned. Yesterday I was so out of it when he called. He always knows how to read me; as I him, although the tables have turned and somehow he became the parent and I'm the kid, hiding that I was stoned. When I answered the FaceTime call it really hit. Managed to pull myself together. My grandson likes for me to watch him play 'kid football,' a game he devised. In it, my best friend is Taylor Swift and in between games, me & Taylor go to the mall and my grandson sells us stuff. I really get into it when we play in person.

So funny, me hiding from my strict son, who would not like mama using THC.

Damn hippies! 😊

I'm conducting a phone interview at 9 AM today on a fellow member of Windjammers, Unlimited (an organization that seeks to preserve, promote, and enjoy circus music). He's an incredible tubist and a composer and it will be a challenge to try and capture his dry, subtle wit in written form.

Kelly Bennette will have the Member Spotlight shine on him for an upcoming issue of the Circus Fanfare publication. It will be my honor to write the article.

Yes I can imagine, it's the same in the wilds of Scotland...In some places there's beautiful green land for miles, and maybe 12 houses total in a space of 10 suare miles, and the houses are built right next to each other.. no privacy at all.. but they have to ... but I do have relatives in Canada, they all have a lot of acreage... :)

Raining here.. been raining really hard during the night, not so heavy now but still constant....60 deg...I;m not as cold as I was yesterday, or feeling so poorly...

I got something I've never had before.. a speeding notice from the Police...

I'm not a slow driver.. but I'm not a reckless speedster, and I obey all speed restrictions of which there are many here .. but apaprently I was spotted driving in adoing 46mph in a 30 limit .. through the next village..

Now that's quite a significant difference, especially on a very narrow road through a small village I realise that, it makes all the difference in stopping if an emergency was to happen .

I'm usually quite careful about going through that village, which I drive through every week.. because they have a speed camera... so I was puzzling as I was reading this, thinking they've got the wrong person..but they described my car

However they go on to say this is just a warning, and that in future to be more careful ( I'm paraprasing) ..so no fine this time...

It's a genuine letter.. and thank goodness no fine..I've never had a penalty for driving ever in my life... .. but 16 mph over the limit regardless of the minimum speed.. be it 30 or 70..usually warrants points from our licence,, so I can only consider myself very lucky... and I'll be very much more careful in the future..

On my early walk at 6:30 temp was 65, wore my yellow reflector vest as I did my 2 loops around the building before breakfast
The highlight of my day happens this afternoon when I'll be dog sitting with my 'buddy boy', Tage{pharoh hound} for an hour or so. Marcia has a dr's appt I had mentioned to her Sat I had nothing scheduled for this week, , if she needs me to call.I was with him 3 weeks ago, miss being with him on a regular basis like it was before I moved
The rest of my day read NYT,go to dinner at 5:30 with Connie and couple other residents

I'm glad it was a warning but I'm sure it still rattled you.

yes it did because granted 46mph is not a speed that I would think of as being fast... that I would remember doing.. because mostly around here the speed limit is 50 .. but in that village it's 30 and I normally keep my speed low there..so I was surprised that I was doing so much more over the limit.. however even more relieved to know I wasn't going to be panalised for it..*phew*

I've never driven in the UK, so I'm completely ignorant. Aren't you guys on the metric system? Are speed limits there really posted in miles per hour as opposed to kilometers per hour?

Clipped Mac's toe nails.
He's learning what putting you down means.
I have my arms around his body & tip him onto his side.

He was a 'good boy', only fussed about one toe nail getting cut.
I must of cut that to short & he remembers it.

Cloudy day.

Might try digging up few plants to move to another spot.
Wonder how hard the old PA dirt is after the rains?

This morning the sun is out which means at some point this morning I will be out and taking a walk . I love taking walks during the weekdays in the neighborhood when the kids from the neighborhood are at school. It is so much more peaceful to just stroll around without bikes riding up and down the sidewalks and balls being kicked around.

I love little kids, but I also love peace and quiet and my walks are for peace and quiet time. :)

Overcast and cool again today but with no rain in the forecast (as if that means anything!).

I had a lacey night. The last time I Iooked at the clock it was 3:30. Finally fell asleep but Maggiecat purred in my ear at 6:30 so there will be a nap in my day🛌.

The garden has been tended to. Nothing much else will be tended to because...tired!

Nothing wrong with a nap.

Have you heard anything about the job application Gigi..?

Don’t they include a photo of the car in the letter. I’ve only had one letter and I could tell it was me driving, not my husband. The speed zone started before the stop sign and I didn’t see it.
