Just for the sake of knowledge

But ..but…….Holden cars are not Aussie made anymore :cry::cry:…. @Bretrick my DH worked in Holdens at Elizabeth ( In Adelaide) for a short while, I was privileged to have been taken on a tour of the huge complex
workers had one day a year where they could invite family .
That is what happens when Australian made, to Australian standards, paying a decent wage to workers can no longer compete with imports from countries that pay not such a livable wage.
I still love the ideal of the homemade Holden car.

I’ve no idea what the factory in Elizabeth is being used for now , however it was rumoured at one stage part of it was going to be used for growing / processing Medical cannabis

I used to be a member of a small social club
in London, it had a bar and a dance floor and
at the weekends, it had live bands, for dancing.

It was called, the "USSR", club, "United Services
and Services Rendered", club, I think that it is
still going.

I just asked Google, they have a Facebook link.

Mike.

A cookie that flies is a oreoplane. 😀
Nah ..jelly …and not Jam …..as some of our overseas members know as / call Jelly….and I can understand jam as we know it being called jelly ….because one can make a jelly “jam” by simply straining the fruit after its cooked

We used to have Jelly and Icecream for desert …but I like red jelly with a dash of cream
