Electronic gathering of your data - hair rising episode

The world needs more love
I typically have a cup of tea in the evening and set a six minute timer on my phone to steep the tea.

Tonight, I forwent the tea. However, Siri (on my phone) asked me, "Should I set a timer for six minutes?"

Nefarious? Maybe... maybe not... but creepy as a clown. [shudder... shiver...]

It's relatively cheap to electronically monitor people. And people are creatures of habit. So, it's sort of easy to figure out their routines.
BTW, your "Siri" is a lot smarter than mine. I used to be able to ask about "battery status". Now, if I ask that the poor thing gets all flustered. I have to ask "battery level". My Siri rode the small bus to iPhone school.

It may come in handy when we start forgetting to take medication, eat, shower, etc…

A personal assistant that provides reminders and dials an emergency contact might be very helpful in years to come.
