Have a fabulous day everyone.

I carry an attitude that’s Grounded in gratitude. 🙏

Very nice! I've not posted photos from a walk in a while because we've been taking such limited and repetitive walks. Today we went to Fort Funston in San Francisco again but this time Lia had to take it easy and stayed on the paved path on top. So I took Ember for a walk to the South staying above the beach mostly. Couldn't go all the way to the North path up because of high tide. But I got to see many places owe used to walk through all the time. Here are some pics from today's walk.

I grew up near Monterey and went surf fishing on the rocks when I was a youngster. Seeing the fantastic pictures of those beaches, floods my mind with images and almost the smells of the atmosphere. Thank you for posting them, Doggy looked happy. :)

That looks like a fabulously walk Mark. Thanks for posting your pics. It’s been years since I’ve been on a horse. Your pictures had me anticipating it. Have you ever been horseback riding.? I’ve got pictures of me somewhere horseback riding.

Glad you enjoyed my pictures and thanks for saying so.

I’ve got a few nice photos taken here , Natural Bridge Circuit, Springbrook National Park
I will have to get organised

There is night tours you can go in to see the glow worms 🐛 in the dark …this water flows all year never ever runs out of water from natural springs …it’s Queensland..where we go each winter …but it’s about a half hour drive / bus tour from where we stay
Glow Worm Caves Tamborine Mountain, Gold Coast

Fantastic natural places in your neighborhood. If you find those pics but don't think they quite fit here you can always post them in a number of other threads or start a new one. Just please let us know here or @-us so we can come see.

No they are in Queensland @MarkD ….some 2.000 km from us in South Australia…but we’ve been to the tourist areas including the glow worm caves but only during the day …mind you we have some very fairly similar
areas in the Adelaide hills S A, only we don’t have tropical types of plants like Queensland

This is a bus tour we did with the club we are involved in for dancing ..this is in Adelaide hills S A

It looks like a beautiful place in the world. My wife loved the ocean.

While I take a lot of pictures, I don’t talk about where I live for safety reasons. Maybe I’m extra paranoid! Can I ask you to modify your posts and take the location info out?
It would make me feel much better.

Thank you for taking the time to look at them.
Your photos are beautiful also.
Is that a path above the water?
That is a reservoir @PeppermintPatty in the Adelaide Hills.
What Makes the Whispering Wall in the Barossa Valley So Special?
The huge path / wall is called the whispering wall because you can stand at one end of the huge wall and someone at the other end and you can hear what each other is saying …even at a whisper

I believe the construction started in approx 1909 …Thats a long long time for such a wall to be still standing.

You are very wise for not disclosing where you live Patty …I shudder when I seen someone post photos of their actual homes ….remember …user names mean nothing …..we ….DONT .. ..really know who’s behind keyboards

Wow. A reservoir!! That’s amazing. I’m not surprised by the sound effects. Sound really bounces off of water. Construction started over 100 years ago. It’s incredible. That would be something I’d like to see in person.

Yes it is incredible …Patty .

The club where we dance has a few outings a year if we wish to take part in them …..we don’t normally ….

its heavily subsidised by the club , it cost us $20 each for a day out including lunch at a posh hotel ..

The bus trip of the Barossa Valley which is known for its fine wines and German foods ..it’s a huge wine grape growing area.
The area has a huge population of German settlers dating back to when Aussieland was being established after WW 2.

There are several towns scattered around in the hills , as well as allot of soft fruits are grown….. “up in the Barossa valley “ as us Aussies say …Wine grapes / cherries / apples / avocados/ mainly soft fruits, as well as a ton of smallish wineries for wine lovers
They do nothing for me …
being a non drinker ….blah…. just the smell is enough for me

Yes. Australia is world known for its orchards
Many great wines come from there but like yourself, I’m a non drinker. We have the Annapolis Valley which is also well known for its orchards and its wines.

Adelaide football oval it’s also used for famous singers who decide to come here we recently had Pink and lots of others come here to sold out crowds, the oval holds 50.000

River Torrens that runs from the hills to the sea …..it has weirs so it doesn't run dry during dry times of the year

I like Pink. That looks like an interesting building. The acoustics must sound amazing.
The flower 🌸 🌺 colours in the memorial garden looks gorgeous. Red, pink and white. The red isn’t too hard a red. It blends in nicely.
It looks like a peaceful place. They usually are.

I don’t know what weirs are so can’t comment. Ok I looked it up. Its a low dam built across a river to raise the level of water upstream or regulate its flow.

Today is 15 degrees and cloudy with isolated showers. It started raining as soon as we got back into the car so timing was great.

There was a huge flock of birds. They maybe migrating birds stopping to feed on something they found in the water. They are called cormorants.

IMG_6240.jpeg

Today we saw this googly eyed cow sign. It made me laugh so I took a photo.

IMG_6231.jpeg

Today we walked 4 kilometres. The leaves are starting to change colour.

IMG_6227.jpeg

I passed this horse today. It was happily grazing and wasn’t happy about getting its picture taken.

Thanks for sharing the natural world in your area with us. The horse at the end is a nice plus though I of course am happy enough with plants, rocks, water and sky.

Thank you Mark. I connect with nature so much easier than with humanity. The connection is so intense. Animals don’t fear me. They instinctively know I wouldn’t hurt them. This allows me to get closer to them.

A while back I got pictures of baby foxes
