Do you like men with beards?

This is a a very confusing thread. I can't judge the beard without the rest of him. More than misunderstanding, we mainly just disagree. I'd like to be judged the same way as a woman by a man (without my beard - HaHa).

Yes I do like beards on men. Except I had a boyfriend when I was 17 who was scruffy before it was fashionable. He was very handsome but his scratchy facial hair gave me red burns across my face when we would kiss. I was NOT happy with that.
My mother was always complaining about my father's sandpaper beard whenever he arrived home from work and he tried to kiss her. That would force him to shave twice a day. Finally, he became frustrated started plucking the hair on his face and developed Vitiligo.

Many years ago my Dad and his co-workers in his department at work all decided to grow beards. I had never seen him with a beard. He looked good with it, I thought. But my Mom and his Mother didn't like it AT ALL.. lol

So several months later, he shaved it off. Thankfully... hearing those two complain so much drove me nuts.

I've worn a full beard for decades and don't give a darn about how women regard my whiskers. It's my face and I Iike a beard. In other words I don't allow females to control me nor do I presume to control them. My beard is clean and neatly trimmed, however. Now if I could just get the hair on my dome to refrain from abandoning me.........

My late sister and her first husband were 19 when they married. He had a baby-face and was trying valiantly to grow a fine set of "mutton-chops and a beard (mutton-chops being quite popular at the time).

He wasn't having a lot of luck as everything was coming in scraggly.

His great-uncle, a down-to-earth plain-spoken country farmer walked up to him at the wedding reception and exclaimed loudly, "SON, YOUR FACE LOOKS LIKE A GOAT'S CROTCH!"

We never let him forget that. He gave up on trying to grow facial hair; some guys just can't.

I've had my beard for almost 51 years. First couple of years it was a full beard but I trimmed it often. For some reason I started shaping it by shaving down my cheeks some and shaving my neck. I worked as an auto mechanic for the first 10 years of my working life and I found the full beard very hot in the summers. Being a mechanic is quite a physical job so in hot weather the sweat in my beard got to me.
I shaved it off 3 times in all those years but let it grow right back. Once was intentional and twice was a mistake I made while trimming. Couldn't leave it like that.

I like beards on some males; I find it an attractive look.
Other men look attractive clean shaven with no visible
facial hair. Overall, though, I like facial hair on men.

I cannot speak about liking men with beards but I first grew mine when Covid started. Working from home and not being able to go anywhere meant personal grooming became less important, at least for a while.

To be fair, I wanted to grow one for years. When I was in the navy, beards were all the go. I thought I was incapable of it. In my youth, my sister laughed at my pitiful efforts. 🥺 Anyway, now it's there, it's grey and it's bushy. I am used to it and it sure beats shaving. I think I will keep it.

There was a funny incident a few months ago. A little girl walked past, laughing and saying 'ho, ho, ho.' Her mother said that the child thought I looked like Santa Claus. 😳 I have had a beard trim since then...

I dont like a full grown beard which is from ear to ear , how ever i do like a shadow a little stubble from ear to ear .
That said it suits some and not others ,,Prince William as a stubble and i dont think it suits him,I much prefer him clean shaven , his brother Harry looks good with a beard .
perhaps its the shape of the face which suit some more than others .And whether its a full beard or Goatie.

Another side effect from beards and stubble on
the faces of lots of men today, means that the
cost of my razor blades has gone through the
roof, £25 for 4 blades!!!!!

Mike.

I grew up in the "clean cut" look, with military style haircuts. I guess I'm so grounded in that era, I have to be clean shaven. Now, younger men are used to facial hair.
Do you like men with beards?

Yes, I like men with well-groomed beards.

Evidently, I'm not the only one. 😂
