I have a playlist titled Guitar Gasms. A "guitar gasm" is a guitar riff or set of them, lasting a few seconds or a few minutes, that are so masterful and sound so damned good that they just go all through you. They make you want to pick up a guitar and play them. And if you don't know how, it makes you wish you could. Sometimes I close my eyes and pretend I'm playing them. :LOL: This is one of my favorites, I listen to it often. I listened to it a few times today and thought of @Paco Dennis. In case anyone doesn't feel like listening to the entire song, the gasms start at 2:50 ends 3:11 and again 4:18 to the end.

Wow..this slightly different version just came up; the bass is more prominent than in the first version. I really like this and am going to send it to my honorary son who plays bass (or is still learning). Gasms are in about the same spots.

I'll be posting more. If you have any favorite songs that contain guitar gasms, post them here.

@Pecos @MarkinPhx @Pinky @dobielvr @Pink Biz

@Paco Dennis It's been almost two years since I started this thread. I think you were away from us for awhile so you missed it.

This is early EWF..1974. The 70s and 80s were my favorite era for them. To watch, click on the link that says Watch on YouTube

Oh my. First off I HAD to dance to this one. :) The guitar solo is beyond good. Yes, it is screamer. Also the creative ways it is used throughout the song. :)
Glad I got you up and dancing so early in the morning Paco❣️ I used to be so into this group, who are British. I just watched the live version of this song and the guitar solo wasn't as good (probably a different guitarist), since the group has changed over the years. The original was released in 1984. Stay tuned for more gasms. 😃 I'd love to hear your picks Paco.

I run into some screaming guitar when I hear heavy metal stuff and what they call "shredding". Like this

This is one I can relate to. :)

I have several songs I recorded with me going crazy with guitar mania. But I have to say that Jimi Hendrix was my all time favorite when it came to have your guitar "speak".

Amazing guitar playing Paco! I actually liked the first two videos (for gasms sake) better than the Hendrix track. But we certainly can't have guitar gasms without Jimi. Another video of the contestant on AGT followed the one you posted. Imagine, becoming a rock star at age 59. Feel free to post more.

@hearlady Eric Clapton is a great guitarist and he sure delivered.

@HazyDavey Nice!
