Pizza Hut used to have all you can eat Buffets.

They stopped doing it because too many people were gluttons and would eat, and eat and eat.
I remember years ago I went there with a friend.
I ate about 3/4 of one large pizza. My friend ate 3 large Pizzas himself. He had a gut that might have been 1.4 meters around. 4 1/2 feet.

Old Country Buffet went OOB around here. I suspect the same reason. Now I think the only AYCE buffets locally are Golden Corral and a few Asian style restaurants. My mom loved Old Country Buffet. We usually went there between lunch and dinnertime, but once we tried it at breakfast. I liked I could have all the OJ I wanted.

Our local Pizza Hut stopped their buffet when Covid hit, We stopped there a couple of days ago, and ordered their large Supreme Pizza, and it was so big that we could only eat half. We took the rest home, and ate it for Supper last night. There is a good Asian restaurant in a town about 25 miles away which still has an outstanding buffet, and we always eat there when in that area.

Back when I was still working a co-worker and I ate 10 pieces each at one of those during our lunch hour. Needless to say we didn't get a lot of work done that afternoon. Fortunately it was a government job so no harm done. :)

I love buffets but only recall 1 AYCE pizza I went to with friends so many years ago I can't remember which place it was. My favorites are decent quality Asian buffets or I adored the AYCE salad bar they offered long ago at Wendy's. That was years ago too when I could eat anything. Now I can't process very many raw veggies šŸ˜‘

My personal best was 11 pieces, It was at a Pizza Hutt but not the buffet. It was in 1969 and I was in college at the time and I went to a Pizza Hut with what is now my ex wife and her younger sister. I ordered two large Pizzas. One for me and one for the two of them. I ate all of mine. My now ex wife ate 3 pieces of theirs and her younger sister ate 2. That left 3 more pieces and I ate those for a total of 11. Damn I wish I could get away with eating like that now but these days the best I can do is 1/2 of a large which is 4 pieces.

Some grocery stores went from having a deli menu, to a full-blown buffet. "Gerbes" was a favorite around here. They had different specials each day, with a wide selection of salads and sides. Oh, the desserts. Yes, indeed. It was great, and then Covid put it out of business. :(
