A beautiful Indian Summer day!
The Crud is getting better. Braces are reduced to night retainers. I have ZERO clothes for outside the house that fit. Got mini cucumbers and potatoes. Now time to reshuffle the laundry room to fit Max, the mini magic litter crumb getter, in.
 

Hoe-lee cow...

After no rain x more than a month, now we've had almost 8 inches of rain in the last 24 h and it's still coming down.

I tried to get over to see Ed, but both access roads to his house are blocked. There's water across the road in many low-lying areas and near streams, the water has over flowed and I saw some trailers with water almost up their decks by the door.

Right, I need some suggestions..

When my new bed arrives I'm having it put into what was the O/h's office room... and the bed in my bedroom is being removed. That means I'll have an empty bedroom... it's not large , but I need suggestions as to what to use it for. Given that I may move in the near future.. not guaranteed.. but a possibility, I don't want to be spending much money on it.. .. and given that I already have an office room for myself... and a walk in closet

What do you all think I should use the empty bedroom for ?

You could roll out a yoga mat or two. Add a house plant or battery candles for ambiance. Empty room now has a purpose, even if you don’t do yoga.
 
Literally just sold one of my old Iphones... Someone on the neighbourhood app is looking to buy Iphones.. a few people have replied .. as I did.. We haggled about the price and they're coming over next week to buy mine (y)

In the meantime I've got 1 bid on my sofa.. 9 watchers, and 108 views...

That's similar to what I would do if I had an empty room. I would turn it into a little sanctuary. Probably have my exercise equipment on one side and a mediation area on the other. Maybe some plants, probably a Peace Lily. Something to play music. No phone or other interruptions allowed. I'd probably have some big floor cushions. Just make it a space where you turn off and relax.

Honestly I have plants..more than enough plants all around the house... but I do have big Pouffe's ..colourful ones like this...

Pretty and all, but I'd feel awkward living in a furniture store window like that. Drop one sunflower seed and it would stand out like a dolmen. I'd need a fleet of robovacs, probably including ones to crawl the walls sweeping cobwebs away.

The furniture feels "cold" but you don't get the low temperatures that we do.

Went to Stop and Shop today for a few things. Trying now to go to the store more often for just a few things. Yes waste of gas, but my back can no longer take lugging in too many bags.

Got a rotisserie chicken for supper and doggie treat. Tomorrow will make chicken tortilla soup and freeze the rest.

Got more unsalted peanuts for the squirrels. Hahaha... yesterday there were 3 at once and there was a fight!

Picked up some produce and ice cream.
 
Today wearing new Amazon ordered for $45 Levi 512 jeans, 29x30 in Throttle that received on election day. Actually ordered 30x30, so they apparently sent a pair with slightly less waist maybe due to lack of actual inventory . And indeed was somewhat difficult getting into and skin hugging but not enough that I will bother setting up a return for. As someone that only has bought the similar 511's the 512's that constrain stretchy elastane are apparently even thinner dimensionally so in the future 31x30 is probably my ideal size.

Amusing myself reading various post mortem election news stories as losers assign blame and push their particular apparently not as popular ideas as they thought.

Actually, it was when I went through a phase of not sleeping much that I tried meditation and it really helped. You might find it helps you. Sometimes I just fell asleep listening to the meditation tapes. As you likely know, there are lots on YouTube. I used to go to a Buddhist Centre where they did free drop-in meditation lessons. You might find one not too far from you.

what furniture?.. the picture is just an example of the 2 pouffe's I have . However despite that not being a picture of my home.. If you dropped even a piece of thread in my house it would stand out on my very light carpets.. this picture IS of one of my pouffe's which is not so bright as the others, and you can see my carpets are light coloured
pouffe.JPG.. and I like that because I don't want to have dirty floors without me knowing that they're dirty

The other 2 pouffe's in the bedrooms as in the first photo are green, and red..
