@KSav , I liked it too and agree about it being a bit drawn out, just a bit.I just saw that the other day, @RadishRose! What did you think of it? I liked it, but it was a bit drawn out.
No matter what you believe, he was dead before we even knew it. Pick your favorite conspiracy theory and you'll still never know for sure.Oliver Stone's JFK REVISITED on Prime Video
I'm not sure I trust Oliver Stone's conclusions, so I'll need to do some fact-checking, but it was interesting, nonetheless.
That's a superb documentary. You can trust the sources: James DiEugenio (who wrote the script for Stone's JFK (1991), and I suspect some input from Paul Bleau, Jeff Morley, Paul Abbott, and 3 or 4 others who are the chief most highly respected of the JFK assassination researchers.Oliver Stone's JFK REVISITED on Prime Video

I love Greer Garson. I own Mrs Miniver and Pride and Prejudice on DVD.Anything starring Greer Garson. My absolute favorite is "Random Harvest," with Ronald Colman. "Mrs. Miniver" is a close second.

This sounds interesting, SS. When I'm ready to commit to something as long as a movie, I may try it.Watched "The Reader" (2008) last night via a DVD from my library - don't know if it's streaming anywhere.
I was quite surprised at where this movie went. Thought it was quite good. Kate Winslet sure earned her Best Actress Academy Award.
There's some sex and nudity in it - don't think the film needed the nudity (they rarely do), but I soldiered through. The heart of the movie really shows up in the second half. This sounds interesting, SS. When I'm ready to commit to something as long as a movie, I may try it.
I see it's free on Prime for members as well as Prime FreeVee (ads).
I watched that last night. It was actually better than I thought it would be.Since we may be in for one I figured I'd watch "Civil War" .

The actor who played the president at the end looked like Steve Bannon. I wonder if that was intentional.I thought having Jesse Plemmons looking at the world through rose colored glasses while performing summary executions was an interesting touch.
Jesse Plemmons played a character like that In Breaking Bad. Seemed like a simple, round faced, innocent young guy until he did something horrible. It made it all doubly shocking. He was born to play those parts.I thought having Jesse Plemmons looking at the world through rose colored glasses while performing summary executions was an interesting touch.
I had the same experience with it. The book was just enchanting, but the movie didn't quite capture that feel. The Secret Life of Bees on Hulu. I saw the movie as this is our Library Book Club selection for our meeting this Friday. I loved the book, loved every word, but can't say the same for movie, even though it was good and has a good cast. The beauty of the book made the movie seem cheap in comparison. I can't judge the movie because of that. It was probably good!
Very good picture. Walter Huston was good as well. Can't say enough about Gene Tierney. Vincent Price was actually quite a good actor, including in comedy or lighter roles, e.g. His Kind of Woman (1951). But after House of Wax, and later The Fly, he was soon type cast into horror roles, in which he was superb. Fascinating guy, really.I watched Vincent Price and Gene Tierney in Dragonwyck, a 1946 black & white period drama. Vincent Price is one of my favorite actors.
I took 2 days to watch it. My attention span isn’t so great either! Thanks for this recommendation @MaidMarian. Looks fascinating. One problem for me: it is 2 and half hours long. I have the attention span of a five year old.
