This is going to be a great Christmas

In the past, the Christmas season was blasé just like any other day. However, I am going make this holiday season special for me by giving myself opportunities in making this season special for everyone
You just inspired me to do the same, Ed. I've loved Christmas since I was a tiny little girl... and this is a perfect way to make it even more special. @Mr. Ed

I'm going to try, too. In the spirit of "you never know what might happen next" I decorated the inside of my house today and it's so nice to have a cheerful tree with lots of colored lights to turn on as the day draws in.

We don't do much in the way of presents and last year we had Christmas dinner at our favorite Chinese place, but at least we can try to be extra kind and cheerful and I plan to try to only lose my temper once a day.

Mr. Ed,
How about some updates on the repairs to your home.
Like your avatar, too.
Due to extra damages incurred by a failing foundation the original out of pocket expenses were greater than $10,000 however, my insurance adjustor got the insurance cost down to $3000. Wednesday I will sign the latest work/cost proposal for work to begin on the house. No projected date when house will be livable again.

Meanwhile our dogs are doing well in spite of cramped quarters. Eidie, loves traipsing around in the mud and I have to wipe her paws before she gets mud all over the furniture and bedsheets. Lately, she is being stubborn about going to bed, specifically jumping on the bed to go to sleep. She stands at the bottom of the bed and barks until I coax her up with a toy. It is a whole ritual getting her on the bed and nothing works the same way night after night.

Oh yeah, we have a mouse in the cupboard that got into a loaf of bread and crackers. We moved the mousy edibles to a different location, but we still hear the mouse rummaging around at night.
