There are some in every group, every conceivable coexistence who want to control others, Most all of the others. So if I think I have experienced them I would block them. I can always see what they had to say if I want. Common sense is different than control of everything. Think of a light on your porch, do you shut it off after 10 PM or let it burn all night? Is it your choice or has someone told you - you have to do it. I'm sure the Matrix knows as well as other MODS on another forum.

Long story. Involved a pathologically jealous person who with no foundation or reality identified another member as a threat. Ignoring was demanded and since it had no relevance to me and I wanted peace I went along. Story ends by sudden and complete disappearance off the face of the Earth by the psycho.

trolls as above..and those who make personal attacks on me... !

I Don't stand for it in real life.. certainly not going to stand for it on a anonymous forum

I come here as a form of R&R... so the ignore button allows me to stop lunatics and walter mitty characters from making personal attacks

+1. No shame in blocking the motor mouth clowns that can't stand someone that has a different outlook.

there are people who ignore me I know that..I don't care that they ignore me. Tat's their perogative everybody can't like everybody..it doesn't bother me... but the only one I
Zero. It's so much easier to walk away than have a confrontation with a cyber person.
you can't walk away from people who insist on following you around the forum making derogatory remarks...

That is clearly cyper-stalking / harassment anyway you cut it.
..yes and so why put up with it.. don't need to.. one click of a button and their silenced...

One terrible type of cyber bullying I saw was on a forum I used to be on for seniors.. it's closed now, but at the time it was the biggest forum of it's kind on the intenet. On that forum there was ''like and dislike'' button for posts...and one woman who was really very nice, .. had somewhow annoyed one clique.. and they followed her making these derogatory remarks on every post.. and giving the thumbs down, reaction to everything she wrote.

She could have said she save a man from drowning.. and she was immediately ''drowned'' in dislike ticks....it was absolutely disgraceful...but these people knew if they actually verbally attacked her it was against the rules, but by following her and pressing the dislike button on eveything she said they were cyber bulying her without saying a word..

My red line are also personal attacks on me. And even in this thread is at least one member I've put on 'ignore'.

I have no one on ignore... There *was* one about a year ago but it only lasted a few days and then I needed to know what was going on, so I removed it. I will also say that the member in question turned out to be a heck of a nice person and I realized that someone having polar opposite views from mine isn't a reason to hit the ignore even if the opposing view is presented in an annoying way. :sneaky:
