The Next Poster Has....

Going along with the 'Days Gone By' theme, I thought it might be fun to write something you did as a child, or teen, and see if anyone else has done the same thing. The person who answers will then write something they did when they were young, etc.

Ok, here's the start...

The next poster has put plastic bags on their feet inside their shoes to go out and play in the snow.

I've done this... more than once. Nice and warm.
The next poster pretended to be sick to get out of school when there was something happening they didn't want to do.

...pretended to be sick to get out of going to church and then Mom made you stay in the rest of the day (because you're "sick", of course....)

I held up the thermometer to the Lamp's light bulb...Mom nearly had a heart attack when she looked at the reading! lol! I think I was about 6 or 7 years old and didn't want to go to school.

Did you ever extend the front forks on your bicycle to make it into a Chopper? Ever put playing cards between the spokes with a laundry pin to generate that muffler sound?

Yep, I had like 4 or 5 cards in my spokes, roaring down the street.

The next...has caught lightening bugs in a jar.

I climbed trees as a kid. I knew the branches intimately because if I misbehaved my mother or father would take switches from them!

Yes, in a big pickup truck and stopped to watch a tour bus sqeeze through the tunnel.

The next poster has, at least once, gone past the sign that says "DANGER! DO NOT GO PAST THIS SIGN!" because......well......because.

A place near by had one at the road, a few trees up another, and more threatening, about the 8th sign said "TURN THE F@@K AROUND OR BE SHOT.... Don't know what the next one said.
Next, anyone else throw on a backpack and thumb around the country? Several summers spent exploring Maine to Fl.

No contests... but the only time I tried to do the skid marks with my bike left skid marks on my face when I crashed.
Did the next poster ever *really* run away from home? (trying to get to grandma's house doesn't count!)
