Last week everything I looked at fell or broke. Plus I managed to pull pizza from the oven and then flip it face side down on the newly washed kitchen floor. It was something like that for 5 days straight.
When this stuff happens I usually turn the air blue. But it only takes an about a week for me to see the humor in it.

For many years, I lived in the snow country and was an avid snow skier, even crushing my 5th vertebra in a ski accident.
But at my age, I am glad living in a warmer climate where I can go walking year-round without slipping on ice.
And if I still get an itching for snow, then I can drive in winter one hour up into the local mountains to get cold feet.
After all, SoCal is a place where you can snow skiing in the morning; and after driving two+ hours, go ocean surfing in the afternoon.

I just saw this Monarch Butterfly a minute ago in our garden; and while we have plenty of Hummingbirds, the picture is older.

PS, we have a number of butterfly caterpillars on our plants. This one may have just hatched because when I saw it first, it barely
moved. But now half an hour later, it is moving its wings briskly, obviously practicing to fly. Its wings are not yet completely
unfolded. That's the reason why I was able to pick it up and place it into a butterfly cage for my 5 y/o grandson to admire.

PPS, a few years ago, my wife and I drove on Freeway 101 five hours north to Pismo Beach where in winter what seems to be a million
Monarch Butterflies gather in huge Eucalyptus trees; see Butterfly Grove. Ouch! I just read that we need a permit to keep it caged. Well,
as soon as my grandson has seen the Monarch, I let it fly off. In the meantime, it will have unfolded its wings and be able to fly properly.

I had that issue with a frosted cake recently. Trying to transfer slices from the baking dish to a serving plate - it always ended up frosting side down.

Just watched my university beat the Holy Moses out of The Enemy in the annual grudge game.......66-0, no less.

They usually beat us, so this was a real treat.

I found a logo shirt in the back of the closet and got kitted out.

I was driving the car for 7 1/2 hours today coming home from Thanksgiving and it's left me "down in the back", as my Grandma used to say, so I wasn't doing any backflips but I WAS noisy. YES!!!

Doggie had a special meal today in addition to her regular wet food w/ pumpkin puree on the side. Today she also enjoyed a small pile of fresh blueberries and 1/2 hard boiled egg.

I re-potted my Chinese Evergreen plant, threw out my pink Hibiscus that was failing inside. Strangely, the coral one is doing well.

Amazingly, I cleaned out and organized the closet under the stairs! I didn't think I had it in me so now I feel redeemed.

Flung a few handfuls of peanuts out on the lawn for my squirrels.

Just a ham sandwich w/ lettuce and mayo then few cookies for supper.

It's 4.50am.. still dark.. quite warm 52 deg... been raining so it looks damp outside..

I had a dream about an old boyfriend , someone long before soon2Bex... very vivid.. had him calling and asking me to go meet him ...and I got ready to go, despite wondering why I was going.. but I woke up before I actually got to the venue

Given that my dreams are usually teling me something..I'm just going to see if I can discover if perhaps he's died...

Today was a wonderful day. My son and I had lunch with my BFF who is up here from Florida. She informed me that last time we saw each other was a year to the day when we met up to see my friend Hunter perform. Hard to believe...time goes so fast! We had an interesting, informative, fun two and a half hour lunch at Just Salad. We each enjoyed our meals; she got a salad, my son and I got wraps...his vegan, mine was the honey crispy chicken, which I'd get again. I could only eat half my wrap (had the rest for dinner) and still haven't opened my cinnamon sugar chips.

After we reluctantly said our goodbyes my son took me to Dollar Tree. I only got a couple of things...orange post its, nail polish remover and Crunch n Munch. They were out of Spa Soap Milk and Honey hand soap refill size, which was the main thing I went for. Guess I'll be using my homemade liquid soap for a while. My son was surprised at how quickly I came out. Then it was on to he Amazon hub. He went in to get my packages for me. More soap stuff...body wash and Dr. Bronner's peppermint castile liquid soap. After I got home and changed clothes, I had an ice cream bar, watched a little TV and napped for a couple of hours.

My BFF is social media adverse, so for her privacy I've given her a half mask. It was a love fest today!

Big hugs for her nephew, which is what she calls my son. And he calls her Auntie.

DH & I drove to the mall and then walked from there. A change of scenery. He agreed to look at a puffer coat and even bought one. A Columbia coat for $70. Did a couple more quick chores while there. I didn’t buy anything.
taking about coats. Canada goose coats are all the rage here among the young... and because they're so expensive, people are literally being mugged for their coats..seriously...

I would love to have a Canada goose jacket, but as well as keeping my phone out of sight when i'm out and about.. I'd need to hide my coat.. how ridicuous and vile this world has become..

Canada Goose coat muggings could be new 'luxury item crime trend'

Canada Goose coat muggings: Warning of surge in 'luxury' coat thefts with attacks taking place in broad daylight

..and it seems it's happening in the US too..

I sometimes throw peanuts out for the squirrels, but if I do it too much they start coming up to the door! 🙂

I wonder that when I dream about someone random. One time it was a girl that sat behind me in third grade! Why would she come up in my dream out of nowhere?

yes I would think the same but whenever I dream about someone from my past, that I've not seen or heard it;s usually foretelling something...or telling me something has already happened to them

Good chilly morning, Invisipeeps. The frost is definitely on the pumpkin at a nippy 25F.

All the things in the garden that met their demise with yesterday's frost have now shriveled up and turned brown  🥀 If the sun stays out and we get up to at least 50 today, I'll go out and pull up the rest of the dead stuff. Otherwise, it's just gonna wait because I don't do cold.

DSD and her crew did their Thanksgiving dinner yesterday so while they were all together at the same time, we did a fun Zoom call. It's been a long while since I've "seen" her and her DH and now-grown kids, it was the first time I've "met" her kids' partners.

No Dessert for Dinner tonight because there are still peanut butter and pumpkins pies left from Thanksgiving.

The 'old style’ Canadian Goose Down jackets were fabulous, so expensive and luxurious. They have a different look these days, and are cheaper.

And if really interested in the 'real thing’ don’t look on Amazon. lol. The Chinese and their knock-offs are insulting.
if only the muggers knew this...

DGD just brought me a Starbucks latte and a cranberry bar. Yum!

Has anybody else noticed that so far this season there haven't been complaints about the Starbucks Christmas cups?
