Gentle posts for gentle folks

Good morning @Kaila.
Hoping your therapies go well. Sorry about the food. Maybe you'd like a hot bowl of minestrone soup chock full of healthy veggies for lunch?

I sure do love that cooking you're doing for me,RR.
My o.t. was the best part of my day, and a meeting went well. And had a nice nurse.

Stressful stuff otherwise, and I didn't get out of my room today. Hopefully tomorrow, I will.

I did not get any art materials or any such thing. Which I asked for. Haven't had any visitor.
One of the staff chatted with me... whew!
And,

I gave and got a hug today, with a young nurse aid from Somalia. Encouraged her on her English, and education.
I explained what snow is, to her. She likes snow and was amazed to hear what it is.

Met a wonderful nurse yesterday from Philippines, who came in 2020, at beginning of covid.

Tonight's update.

other than those above, nestled into my reply posts....

Not much to see out this window at all, in present room.
Many of you know how much I love looking out windows at anything outdoors.

I'm thankful to simply have the window, for a little daylight, of any.
There's a brick wall along one side, and a couple of bare lower tree branches, straight out.

Have not seen 1 bird.
Not even a squirrel on this side of building.

Beyond those couple tree trunks , there's a side of a house or another wing of this place, I wouldn't know which.

If we get a few snowflakes in the next couple of days, I hope to see them in this corner.

I long to go home now, even though I realize it won't be easy there.

I understand better than ever now ,
why people want to remain at home as long as possible, instead of a nursing home/rehab,

Even if home is just a small apartment.
It's a lot more homey.

Thinking of each of you, this evening.
