Begging has become normal now.

I donated to a GoFundMe page for the manager of my dry cleaners who I got to know very well and who was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. She didn't have health insurance so it was the least I could do.

Aside from that, I donate regularly to World Central Kitchen. They are a legit organization doing good around the world. They never provide my information to anyone else. I only receive emails from them.

^^ I guess it was in response to this comment :
" Then I saw their Mercedes Benz when they left. // didn't know Blacks bought Mercedes Benz. Rental or stolen ? "

They have people begging on the street corners and the police said they were cracking down on them but they are still there. It makes me nervous since some have done car jacking and other crimes when cars are stopped at red lights. I feel sad if they are really poor but cannot see donating to them when it is supposed to be illegal.

When I told my grandson about the woman plopped in middle of sidewalk begging for money, he (6 yrs old) said "My wallet is home." Thus began my lecture on why we do not give money to just anyone who asks. What does he know, he's six!
