I'm not sure everyone can see the shade of purple. 400 nanometers, the lowest spectrum of Red / Blue mix.
Maybe they see a dark shade / blackish.

We put purple paint on trees about eye level , 2'x2', every 100 yards or so around our border. It is prime dear hunting territory. Maybe about a mile of marking I guess. We try to keep deer hunters and poachers from coming on our property. They are welcome at the front door, but not trespassing.
