How many Casinos are there in your State?

Arizona, USA has 26 casinos; 22 Indian tribes.
7.4 million people in Arizona; 298,000 American Indians in Arizona, 22 Indian tribes total
Casinos only on Indian Tribe lands.

Only Indians own Casinos?
Are there destitute Indian encampments?
Gambling is allowed in only 24 states in the US; many only allow it on Indian Reservations which are Indian lands and not State owned or Federal owned land per se.

The casino gaming laws are complex, depending on State of licensing issues for gambling. Nevada has the most Casinos that are not run by Indians, gambling has been legal (again) in Nevada 1931 and the revenue from casino's taxes in Nevada is 1/3 of the state tax base. Nevada has over 300 Casinos, plus thousands of little gaming parlors.

Ohio has a population around 11.8 million. After legislation was passed in 2009 to allow casinos, the first 4 opened in 2012. Now there are 11 around the state. I haven't ever been to one even though one is fairly close.

Missouri has a total of 13 casinos, which are regulated and licensed by the state. These casinos are primarily located on riverboats or barges along the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.

Oklahoma has 143 total, both large and small. This includes Vegas type caninos all the way down to small casinos tucked into the back of travel plazas. All of them are owned and operated by native American tribes.

My home away from home is in Atlantic City, N.J. where we own a timeshare. That is where the casinos are in New Jersey. There are currently nine casinos still in operation, not counting online casinos.

Two in CT;

Foxwoods
Mohegan Sun

I have been to Mohegan Sun twice. Won $40 the first time, lost less than that the second time. I'm not into it.

Gambling will never be fair. The house deck is stacked. Lawlessness increases, jail times served, good riddance.
Those Casinos will also become property tax losses in time.

Delaware. Population approximately 1,052,000.

Three casinos.

Delaware Park Casino, in northern Delaware, which is also home to horse racing.

Bally's Dover Casino Resort, in the state's capitol, which also has horse racing and NASCAR's Monster Mile race track.

Southernmost is Harrington Raceway and Casino. (also horse racing)

I'm not a gambler, but I've been in Delaware park and won $40 in nickels once. And, I go to the Monster Mile to watch the race.

The population of Nevada in 2024 is estimated to be 3,267,467, which is a 1.65% increase from 2023. Nevada is the 32nd most populated state in the United States.

Number of casinos doesn't include grocery stores, bars, or gas stations with slot machines.

Not sure, I think that there are 21, 16 owned and operated by Native American tribes.

We also have Racinos, online sports betting, state sponsored lotteries, etc…

I’ve never been to a casino and probably should
make the effort to see what they are all about.

It amazes me that they even have electronic penny slot machines for tight fisted gamblers on a budget. 🎰
