What T.V. Shows Had You Hooked Even Before The First Episode Ended?

I'll have to check that one out. I really loved the book.
I didn't realize there was a book. Which were your favorite Twilight Zone episodes? Mine was the one where the pretty people were considered ugly, the man who comes to a monastary is warned not to let the Devil out, and people in a bar wonder who the alien is. I can't remember the names of the episodes, except for this favorite...To Serve Man.

I remember the small Twilight Zone books at libraries in the 60s

I am watching reruns of Cold Case.
Love the actors and their presentation of life in the 50s 60s.
Family Law is a Canadian series and well worth watching and if you love dogs you gotta be watching Hudson and Rex.
Rex is a wonder dog and Hudson is a hunky detective. Just good entertainment
New season just started.

I love all of those episodes, too. Other favorites are "16-Millimeter Shrine," "A Nice Place to Visit," "Night Call," "The New Exhibit," "I Shot an Arrow Into the Air," and "Nick of Time." I pretty much love all of them, though. :)

Dexter had me hooked during the first episode, and the entire first season was really good.
You talking about the new series?

I LOVED the original series. Every episode of every season was really good, and most of them were excellent. Sure, the killing got predictable, I mean, you knew who would get butchered next, and you wanted it to happen, but the writers kept you interested in the over-all story and Dexter's relationships and his psychology. It was great writing.

I started watching the new series. I didn't get past the first 10 or 15 minutes of ep 1. I couldn't shake the vibe that it's just trying to cash in on the success of the original without striving to meet its standards, and I hate that.

But I might give it another go.

I see a few people mentioning Frazier.. I would have loved to have watched Frazier, I was a fan of kelsey Grammer in Cheers.. but the actress ( who btw was unknown in the UK ).. Jane leeves who plays Daphne has such a terrible English accent, I can't bear to listen to her... no-one talks like that in England !

late night viewing often - watched a beautiful video about Ella - the one and only "Just one of those things" often sad in parts of course - but very thorough for the devotees and then moved onto a british drama never seen before - "Body Guard" - just tweeked my buttons all fine!!

My mom got into The Dome. By the time I was watching a few episodes with her it ended.
I watched Under The Dome too and liked it; so did a couple of friends. Just wondering if that is the show you are referring to, or was there one just entitled The Dome? As for Extant...once Halle Berry added Jeffrey Dean Morgan , I knew I'd be watching that season.

I forgot about these two. I even belonged to a Twin Peaks message board on Usenet.
How did you like the Twin Peaks series finale? For me it was a WTH?! And I was very disappointed! Also your opinion @PeppermintPatty ?
Will Trent
Day of the Jackal
Law & Order
NCIS
Landman
Yellowstone
Broadchurch

I have friends who are raving about Landman. I didn't think I'd be interested, but after I finish watching my favorites, I'll check it out. I have such an extensive watchlist !
Marcella
The Bodyguard
McLeod's Daughters
Twin Peaks
Homicide: Life On The Streets
Criminal Minds
Dallas
Falconcrest
Doc Martin
Downton Abbey
Passions
I tried watching Homicide: Life On The Streets and couldn't get into it at first. A friend at work was unable to watch it (for reasons I've forgotten now) and I volunteered to record the episodes for her on VHS. I wound up getting hooked on the show.
