@DailyArtsyCrafter Are you my sister? :ROFLMAO: My wardrobe is also jeans and t-shirts. Wait. There are other things in my closet, but the jeans and t-shirts are my normal glad rags.

😄 And in summer it's tshirts and capris/pedal pushers/cargo shorts. Everyday! I don't even want to think about what should I wear? There's one deviation. On Sundays, I put on a comfortable house dress. I choose among 3 in summer and 3 in winter that I rotate. 👍🏽

Today was a good, fun day. My son took me to the credit union so I could use the coin machine. Funny, I had thoughts a couple of days ago about what would happen if the machine malfunctioned. How would they know how much money you put in? Turns out the machine gives a second by second count of the change thrown in. Little did I know that I would be the cause of a slight malfunction.

There were pennies in clear wrappers, about 10 each, that I didn't see when I put them in the big container with the other coins. At first my son was taking a handful to add them slowly, then he began pouring a little at a time from the container, so he didn't see them either. We had to get a teller to come and since most of the coins were counted, we cashed out and she returned the wrapped pennies to us. Neither of us had ever seen pennies wrapped like that before. I got $41.44 (another teller had the nerve to ask me if I wanted the change...ugh yes!). It was $18 more than expected. 🤑

Then it was on to Olive Garden for a very belated birthday lunch for my son (by 6 months), but he's the one who kept putting it off. We enjoyed our meals and the conversation, which was mostly about music and artists. He got eggplant parmesan and salad, which comes in a huge salad bowl. I got rotini with mushroom sauce, which contained huge mushrooms and minestrone.

The meals came with breadsticks and we love them, so I ordered 12 to go (they gave 13 though). That extra cash from the bank came in handy for the tip. My son wanted to pay the tip but I wouldn't have it. After I got in and changed into my house clothes, I put our food away and replenished some of the important items in the cosmetic case I I carry in my purse.

Glad I stopped at the hair salon to change my appointment. I told her that I’d like it a day or two on either side of the original. She was offering me a week later, which is too long for me. When I repeated what I’d like, she had one for the following day. This wouldn’t have been conveyed on the phone.

Came home and made a big pot of soup from a fancy mix. It was almost as much trouble as making the whole thing from scratch and not as good, imo.

If I ever get the email issues solved on my new phone, I won’t have any hair left to cut.

@OneEyedDiva So glad you got the opportunity to play with the coin counting machine. It's the little things that make life worthwhile:ROFLMAO:
It was interesting. The machine looked different than the ones that used to be in supermarkets. Also it was nice that there was no line when I went to cash out. I meant to reply to you before...about my life apparently being as boring as yours. My life is usually subject to be more boring in winter, since I actively try to avoid being out in the cold as much as possible. Warm days, I might hop the train and go to the Hoboken/Jersey City waterfront park.

However next weekend I'm hoping to go see my dear friend Hunter perform again. He does everything from the classics to Pop to R & B and also plays his saxophones. I may only have one or two more opportunities because he and his wife are leaving Jersey in a couple of months. I'm hoping that for Valentines Day a local band my honorary daughter and I like will be performing at her hangout spot. We enjoyed them so much last Mother's Day. Besides that I should not be bored anyway. I've got songs to revise and compose. Here's Hunter (and his wife giving the wine glass toast). Song is in two parts...Latin rhythm near the end.

Coumadin/Warfarin is really hard core blood thinner stuff, @Babs2u. Might be cheaper, but your doc will not/should not prescribe this unless Really Needed. Xarelto. Was that one on your list? Very reliable, few side effects.

Some good news. After making more than a dozen calls asking for assistance on the high cost of Xarelto and Farxiga and failing, it was my own research that uncovered some hope. Why didn't anyone tell me?
Biden's Inflation Reduction Act has put a cap on prescription drugs at $2000. per year. Once I hit $2000. the cost will be zero. That is a lot better than the impossible $16,000. per year I was expecting.

I was wondering that too, I even googled the donut hole because it was supposed to be gone now. I received a letter with examples of how people can smooth out paying the $2000 over the year instead of just big chunks, but it was awfully convoluted. I'm not sure if the cap applies to drugs that the Part D plan doesn't cover, that worries me.

I had to set an alarm to wake up early today, I'm not used to that anymore! I wanted to catch the bus/train to go downtown to a protest march. It was so cold and rainy at first, then after the rain stopped it felt like it got colder. I've had an unused rain poncho for decades - today it finally got used, yay (but now I can't get it to fold up tiny again!).

It was a satisfyingly well-attended event, at one point I got out of it and went and stood in a long line to use a park restroom, and even after all that time, when I got back the march was still going by, so I just rejoined (and ran across a person I'd met on the train in the morning).

After I got home I took a long hot shower and used a lot of conditioner to compensate for the "hat hair" I had. I felt guilty because I thought we were in a water emergency for the past 6 days, but after my shower I tried to find the status of the emergency repairs of the water line breaks, and it turns out the restrictions were lifted after an hour and a half, and here I've been continuing the water reductions for the past 6 days!!!

That's wonderful ! Kudos to you for your perseverance.

It's morning again, overcast and 45 right now, but it's supposed to get sunny with falling temps all day long. Last night it was so warm in here that I had to turn the heat off and turn the ceiling fan on in the bedroom.

Nothing on the agenda for today. It might be a sloth🦥day for me...after all, my spirit animal is a sloth🦥.

Yo, @hollydolly, remember when we talked about back braces? Did you ever get one? If so, has it helped when you're pretending you're a moving man? And how did the furniture jacks do?

On my early morning walk at 7, walked slow around the building, temp was 23. I couldn't;t tell where it was icy, because yesterday we had rain high was 46, then it turned to snow temps dropped during the day
My close friend, Marcia &I were planning on going to church but she has decided to skip as well because the sidewalks are too icy
My plans for the day watch church service online at 10:30, read local paper, get my exercise by walking the hallway a couple of times. Tonight on PBS watch' Miss Scarlet at 8pm,then'All Creatures Great&Small at 9pm

Gigi... you've asked me twice now about the brace... lol... yes I did get one, and no I haven't used it yet... I haven't used the jacks yet, they only arrived yesterday :)(y)

Overcast and 3 deg here today...cold in the house at 14 deg.. but i haven't put the heating on yet...
not feeling very well today, and i was hoping to get some stuff done, but thats not going to happen today ...

I hope to feel better by tomorrow, because I really need to go to Costco and stock up with some things before i become housebound

No, but even though it's 150 sq ft some people do. I used it for work every other week and have taken short trips to the beach and the mountains. Dreaming of a several months trip out west but can't because of work.
DH & I have a 32' 5th wheel. If I remember the stats correctly, we have about 300 SF of living space when the slides are popped. Very comfortable for two people who get along well. Our longest trip was 4-5 weeks, and while it's always nice to come home after a vacation, I can't say I missed anything in particular about my house.

I much prefer staying in our RV over even very nice hotels and am sure it's the same for you. Do you stay in RV parks when you're using it for work or boondock?

It is urgent cold. Furry served fresh coffee and warm apple buns in bed. Ok, my turn to make real breakfast.
Tile guys left after 5:00 yesterday. They will grout Monday. I will start dealing with all the construction dust in the office. Nothing like shiny dark wood floors - when they are clean!
Last night was ear muffs, no earrings and warm house coat for hot tub happy hour. I am so glad SO found and bought the milk room heater. My new evening gown has arrived. Teal/navy plaid, cut like a shirt but only five buttons. I do not like long front zippers. They seem to stick out when I sit down.
Let's wait and see what this day will bring.
