Exactly, we have an aerial in the loft and use Freeview on the TV. Internet providers don't care about people who live in small villages, and we don't have a reliable enough internet for TV viewing.

Thank you. I don't feel any better. I think I must postpone ct scan tomorrow. They are looking for cancer, and I don't want pnemonia getting in way of diagnosis. I'm too sick to get there, anyway.

Morning everyone....it is 44deg here this morning, up around 50f later with chance of afternoon rain....got up and had immediate breathing attack, dunno why that happens first thing, oh and the insurance RN came by yesterday, did what
essentially an intake at a doc's office, and left saying I was doing
very well for my age....encouraged me to go see air doc...so will
call him today....got a bit of laundry to do, that is about it....bugs were out flying around camera last nite it got so warm....so anyhoo there I am for the day, catch up later!~~

glorious sunny day..I had plans for today but I've been calling Apple, my bank and My internet provider, and I've been on the phone for a very long time and now it's 1.15pm, hardly worh ging aywhere given it will be dark in 3 hours... so I'm just going to pop down and take some pictures

I'm just having my first cup of tea of the day.. did all that talking without aeven a drink... sheesh..

I've ordered the piece of furniture I was looking at yesterday ..I got it in Blue, but not the sofa, I decided so much blue would be too much, so I ordered the snuggle chair..instead..

Wife and I are both semi-recovered from Type A flu (Tamiflu helped!) Still have a big list of things to do including haircut, DMV, tax prep, and doing my "homework" for a drawing class. Whether I get any of it done today remains to be seen, but it's nice not to feel so horrible.

Still holding on, feel a bit better. Had good cry this morning and that seemed to help unload some burdens.

Will postpone CT scan for tomorrow; push it back a week; it's supposed to rain all day Friday in my neck of the woods. Feel lighter making this decision.

Really must get out today. More drug pick-ups, of course but I also need milk for coffee which will be the driving force. Will leave after Young & Restless. Have to ready BD card for my favorite worker here, with some money stashed in so he can have a BD drink on me

Well as it was late for me leaving the house and couldn't go where I'd planned to go , I took myself off to a local Stately home...
It's not open to the public during the winter, but the Bistro style restaurant is open.. and the Gunshop... and country clothing shop...

Yesterday my old HP printer finally died while I was gathering information for my income tax.

This morning I fired up my old hooptie and headed for Staples to purchase a new printer.

As I pulled out of the underground garage my low tire light came on so I made a quick stop to purchase some air.

When I finally got to Staples there was a young employee explaining the various printers to a man about my age so i eavesdropped on his presentation.

When they were finished I told the young man that I needed a basic printer that had AirPrint capabilities to print from my iPhone.

He asked a couple questions and said: “you don’t need a printer!”.

I almost fell over!

He went on to explain that if I only print a few copies at income tax time it would be easier and cheaper to stop in and have the printshop print them for me or give me a brief lesson on how to do it myself.

He could see that I was still a bit hesitant and explained that if I wasn’t happy with the printshop he would he happy to sell me a printer and take my money.

Someone raised that kid right!

so we will see what they recommend....
