Jesus! I don't remember that!
Rose, it's difficult to look at that picture and think "flat"...
That series was magnificent.
I was employed at Radio Shack.
For years Radio Shack was an excellent source for audio and computer paraphernalia. I guess WalMart and Amazon drove them out of business. Is that how it was?I was employed at Radio Shack.
I remember and I also remember something else. There is a character in Tim Allen's "Tool Man" TV series whose face can only be seen from the top half because of his fence. I am sure it was inspired by Bazooka Joe's Mort whose face can only be seen from the top half because of his turtle neck sweater. And then, of course, we have Mr. Steinbrenner from Jerry Seinfelds TV series although that is taking the theme one step further.
I'll bet that didn't run on a pair of AA batteries!
And all you needed was a soldering iron and a steady hand. For years Radio Shack was an excellent source for audio and computer paraphernalia.
You're probably right. I left the US in 1975 and until you just mentioned it now I thought Radio Shack was still in business.I guess WalMart and Amazon drove them out of business. Is that how it was?
To this day, when my son has to buy a boy from age 3 > a toy, it is without fail a really big Tonka Toy. He always loved his, and maintains, every little boy has to have a big Tonka Toy.
