Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I cannot believe I am FINALLY pulling the plug on Cable - I am putting it to rest.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I can't believe I waited so long - the prices are ridiculous. Therefore, I will be streaming. We currently have Netflix, Paramount+, and a few others. My husb is not entirely ready - but I will be nearby and give him mouth-to-mouth if he passes out.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Started the AMC show Gangs of London last night on Netflix. My husband and I watch an episode a night during dinner in front of the tv. Such a bad habit to break:)

Zero Day on NF. Not great, considering the cast. Good thing it was only six episodes, not the usual eight.

Jesse Phelom (sp) has lost a lot of weight. He said he did it the old-fashioned way by dieting and no Ozempic. Imo, he looked gaunt, not that it should matter in the acting.

I felt the same way and gave up after two episodes. I probably will get back to it at some point. It seemed like they added unneeded complications to what seemed to be a decent straightforward plot.

Beau Is Afraid - Goodness, what a chaotic mess!

"This new horror starring Joaquin Phoenix and Patti LuPone is a building panic attack of a film - but its bloated, self-indulgent three-hour runtime lets it down. It's hard to thrill to the turn of the screw when the wheels have already come off."
Huh. Good to know; I've seen that one around, but haven't tried it.

I like Younger a lot.
I started watching it, but can't get past the basic premise. A woman constructing a double life, half the time pretending to be significantly younger (initially to get a job), doesn't amuse me. The reinforcement of ageism, misogyny and terrible stereotypes abound. For instance, her boss is depicted as a shrewish, nasty, ridiculously demanding woman who wouldn't have hired a woman in her own age group.

As for the actress herself, the show requires a fair amount of suspension of disbelief. Even in the opening season, anybody with clear vision would see she's in her 40s, not her 20s. Sure, she's pretty and relatively well-preserved, but passing for 15-20 years younger? Nope.

YMMV

Watched all of 'Zero Day' with Robert De Niro' last night. He was the ex-President investigating a wide-spread cyber attack. Interesting with some degree of fact and a lot of unbelievable drama for effect. 6 Episodes, limited series. Great cast though.

I respectfully disagree. In fact, her boss is my favorite character on the show! Not bc I like shrewish demanding bosses (I've had many!) but bc she's so well drawn. I won't make it thru all of the episodes, since my Netflix is going away on March 14th (I canceled and got MAX instead). Anyhow, differences of opinion make the world go round.

That's why I said YMMV (Your mileage may vary). The women in my book club love the show, but it's not for me.

Glad you're finding it enjoyable.

I am currently rewatching Believe (2014) but it's almost like I'm seeing it for the first time. The series is streaming on Tubi. It's about a 10 year old girl with incredible powers and a huge heart. But her good deeds sometimes make it hard to stay hidden and safe from those who want to kidnap her and return her to the man who used her since she was little in an experimental project studying telekinesis. I watched the show when it first aired and was sorry it did not get another season (at least). I'm enjoying it all over again. Will Trent fans will recognize the convict tasked to protect her as part of the deal to help him escape prison.

Watched the trailor. Looks interesting.

Okay, this is kind of funny but after seeing Captain America brave new world with my son, I decided to watch (rewatch) all the MCUs on Disney Plus. I’m going in release order.

This week I’ve seen iron man 1 and 2, and the Incredible Hulk. Halfway through Thor, Captain America is next.

My son said I need to watch all the tv series too to understand all the stories but don’t know if I will do that. I did enjoy Loki a few years ago.

I'm watching the "Wolf Creek" TV series on TUBI.

Gotta hand it to the Aussies. They really know how to make a creepy serial killer show. Maybe it's been passed down through their DNA from when they started out as a penal colony. :)

We started the 2024 "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" TV series last night with the first 3 eps. It's a very cute and engaging story about a black man and a Korean woman who separately enlist in a clandestine service, only to be put together posing as a married couple for espionage purposes. Naturally they fall for each other. The series was inspired by the 2005 movie of the same name starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

The combination of the chemistry between the two actor's characters along with some clever dialogue writing make this practically the series equivalent of a page turner. It's already been green lit for a second season.

Maya Erskine stars along with Donald Glover, who also co-wrote the series. As a bonus there are some surprising and delightful major star cameos. Amazon Prime video.
